అహరోను వంశస్థులైన కొంతమంది యాజకులు లేవీయులు నివసిస్తున్న పట్టణాలకు దగ్గర లో కొన్ని పంట భూములు కలిగియున్నారు. ఆ పట్టణాలలో అహరోను సంతతి వారు కూడ కొందరు నివసిస్తున్నారు. అట్టి అహరోను సంతతి వారికి భాగాలు యివ్వటానికి ప్రతి పట్టణంలోను నివసిస్తున్న పురుషులు పేర్ల వారీగా ఎంపిక చేయబడ్డారు. పురుషులు, లేవీయుల వంశ చరిత్రలో వ్రాయబడినవారు సేకరించిన పదార్థాలలో భాగం పొందారు.

ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯ ಕೆಲವು ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ಲೇವಿಯರು ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೊಲಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಲೇವಿಯರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಿಗೆ ಪಾಲು ಕೊಡಲು ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಗಂಡಸರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಂಶಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರವರ ಪಾಲು ದೊರೆಯಿತು.

ଲବେୀୟମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ସହର ରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ, ତାହା ନିକଟରେ ହାରୋଣଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧର କେତଜେଣ ଯାଜକଙ୍କର ଶସ୍ଯକ୍ଷତେ ଥିଲା। ଆଉ ହାରୋଣଙ୍କର କେତଜେଣ ବଂଶଧର ମଧ୍ଯ ସହରମାନଙ୍କ ରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିଲେ। ହାରୋଣଙ୍କର ଏହି ବଂଶଧରମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗୃହୀତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯରୁ ଅଂଶ ଦବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏହି ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ସହରର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ନାମ ଦ୍ବାରା ମନୋନୀତ କରାଯାଉ ଥିଲା। ଲବେୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ବଂଶର ଇତିହାସ ରେ ନାମଭୁକ୍ତ କରାୟାଇଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ସଂଗୃହୀତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯର ଅଂଶ ଲାଭ କରୁଥିଲେ।

अहरोन वंशातील काही याजकांची लेवी राहात असत त्या गावांमध्ये शेत - शिवारे होती. काही अहरोनचे वंशज नगरांमध्येही राहात होते. तेव्हा त्या नगरातील माणसांची नावानिशी निवड करुन त्यांना आपल्या उत्पन्नातला वाटा या अहरोवंशजांना द्यायला निवडले होते. वंशावळीत नोंदवलेले सर्वजण आणि पुरुष लेवी यांना हा वाटा मिळे.
