KJV : Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

BNV : প্রভুর এোধর দিন তোমাদের ওপর এসে পড়ার আগে, তোমাদের জীবন যাত্রার পরিবর্ত্তন কর!
KJV : Before the decree bring forth, [before] the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’S anger come upon you.
YLT : Before the bringing forth of a statute, As chaff hath the day passed on, While yet not come in upon you doth the heat of the anger of Jehovah, While yet not come in upon you doth a day of the anger of Jehovah,
RV : before the decree bring forth, {cf15i before} the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD-S anger come upon you.
RSV : before you are driven away like the drifting chaff, before there comes upon you the fierce anger of the LORD, before there comes upon you the day of the wrath of the LORD.

ERVEN : before you become like a dry and dying flower. In the heat of day, a flower will wilt and die. You will be like that when the Lord shows his terrible anger. So change your lives before the Lord shows his anger against you!

BNV : সমস্ত লোকেরা, তোমরা য়ারা বিনয়ী, তারা প্রভুর কাছে এসো| তোমরা সকলে তাঁর আদেশ পালন করো|
KJV : Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.
YLT : Seek Jehovah, all ye humble of the land, Who His judgment have done, Seek ye righteousness, seek humility, It may be ye are hidden in a day of the anger of Jehovah.

BNV : কেউ গাজাতে পড়ে থাকবে না| অস্কিলোন ধ্বংস হবে| দুপুরের মধ্যে জনসাধারণকে অস্দোদ ছাড়ার জন্য বল প্রয়োগ করা হবে| ইক্রোণ খালি হয়ে য়াবে!
KJV : For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noonday, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
YLT : For Gaza is forsaken, And Ashkelon [is] for a desolation, Ashdod! at noon they do cast her forth, And Ekron is rooted up.

ERVEN : No one will be left in Gaza. Ashkelon will be destroyed. By noon, the people will be forced to leave Ashdod. Ekron will be empty.

BNV : সমুদ্রের নিকট বসবাসকারী পলেষ্টীয়দের জন্য প্রভুর এই বার্তা| কনান, পলেষ্টীয়দের দেশ, ধ্বংস করা হবে| কোন লোক সেখানে বাস করবে না!
KJV : Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD [is] against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.
YLT : Ho! O inhabitants of the sea-coast, Nation of the Cherethites, A word of Jehovah [is] against you, Canaan, land of the Philistines, And I have destroyed thee without an inhabitant.

ERVEN : You Cretans living by the sea, this message from the Lord is about you. Canaan, land of the Philistines, you will be destroyed—no one will live there!

BNV : মেষপালক ও তাদের মেষের জন্য সমুদ্রের ধারে তোমাদের দেশ শূন্য মাঠ হযে য়াবে|

BNV : তখন সেই জায়গাটি য়িহূদা থেকে জীবিত অবস্থায় পালিয়ে আসা লোকেদের অধিকারে আসবে| য়িহূদা থেকে আসা ঐ লোকদের প্রভু স্মরণ করবেন| তারা একটি বিদেশে কযেদী হযে রয়েছে| কিন্তু প্রভু তাদের ফিরিয়ে আনবেন| তখন ঐসব মাঠে য়িহূদাবাসীরা তাদের মেষদের ঘাস খাওয়াবে| সন্ধ্যেবেলায়, তারা অস্কিলোনের খালি বাড়ীগুলোয় শুয়ে পড়বে|
KJV : And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.
YLT : And the coast hath been for the remnant of the house of Judah, By them they have pleasure, In houses of Ashkelon at even they lie down, For inspect them doth Jehovah their God, And He hath turned back [to] their captivity.
RV : And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed {cf15i their flocks} thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening; for the LORD their God shall visit them, and bring again their captivity.

ERVEN : Then the land will belong to the survivors from Judah. The Lord their God will remember the people from Judah and restore their fortunes. Then they will let their sheep eat the grass in those fields. In the evenings they will lie down in the empty houses of Ashkelon.

BNV : প্রভু বলেছেন, “মোয়াব এবং অম্মোনবাসীরা কি করেছে তা আমি জানি| ঐ লোকেরা আমার লোকজনদের অস্বস্তিতে ফেলেছে| ঐ লোকেরা তাদের নিজের দেশকে বাড়াবার জন্য তাদের জমি নিযেছে|
KJV : I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified [themselves] against their border.

BNV : অতএব, আমি আমার নামে শপথ করে বলছি য়ে, সদোম এবং ঘমোরার মতো মোয়াব এবং অম্মোনবাসীরা ধ্বংস হবে| আমিই প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর এবং আমি প্রতিশ্রুতি করেছি য়ে চিরকালের জন্য ঐ দেশগুলিকে ধ্বংস করব| ঐ দেশগুলি কাঁটায ভরে যাবে| তাদের দেশ একটি লবণের গহবরে পরিনত হবে| জীবিত অবস্থায় পালিয়ে আসা আমার লোকেরা সেই দেশটাকে এবং য়েসব সম্পদ তার মধ্যে রযে গেছে তাও নিযে নেবে|”
KJV : Therefore [as] I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, [even] the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.
YLT : Therefore, I live, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Surely, Moab is as Sodom, And the sons of Ammon as Gomorrah, An overrunning of nettles and salt-pits, And a desolation -- unto the age. A residue of My people do seize them, And a remnant of My nation inherit them.

ERVEN : So, as surely as I am alive, Moab and the people of Ammon will be destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah. I am the Lord All- Powerful, the God of Israel, and I promise those countries will be destroyed completely forever. Their land will be overgrown with weeds. It will be like the land covered with salt by the Dead Sea. The survivors of my people will take that land and everything left in it."

BNV : ঐসব লোকেরা প্রভুর ভযে ভীত হবে| কেন? কারণ প্রভু তাদের মূর্ত্তিগুলিকে ধ্বংস করবেন| তখন দূর দেশের লোকেরাও প্রভুর উপাসনা করবে|

BNV : ওহে কূশীয়রা, এই হবে তোমাদের পরিনতি| প্রভুর তরবারি তোমার লোকেদের জীবন নাশ করবে|
KJV : Ye Ethiopians also, ye [shall be] slain by my sword.

ERVEN : People of Ethiopia, this even means you! The Lord's sword will kill your people.

BNV : তখন কেবল মেষ এবং বন্য প্রাণীরা ঐ বিধ্বস্ত শহরে বাস করবে| য়ে স্তম্ভগুলি দাঁড়িয়ে আছে সেগুলির উপর পেঁচা ও কাকেরা বসবে| কালো পাখীরা ঐ খালি বাড়িগুলিতে বসবে|
KJV : And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; [their] voice shall sing in the windows; desolation [shall be] in the thresholds: for he shall uncover the cedar work.
YLT : And crouched in her midst have droves, Every beast of the nation, Both pelican and hedge-hog in her knobs lodge, A voice doth sing at the window, `Destruction [is] at the threshold, For the cedar-work is exposed.`
RV : And herds shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the pelican and the porcupine shall lodge in the chapiters thereof: {cf15i their} voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds; for he hath laid bare the cedar work.
RSV : Herds shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the field; the vulture and the hedgehog shall lodge in her capitals; the owl shall hoot in the window, the raven croak on the threshold; for her cedar work will be laid bare.
ASV : And herds shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the pelican and the porcupine shall lodge in the capitals thereof; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds: for he hath laid bare the cedar-work.
ESV : Herds shall lie down in her midst, all kinds of beasts; even the owl and the hedgehog shall lodge in her capitals; a voice shall hoot in the window; devastation will be on the threshold; for her cedar work will be laid bare.
ERVEN : Only sheep and wild animals will live in those ruins. Owls and crows will sit on the columns that are left standing. Their calls will be heard coming through the windows. Crows will sit on the doorsteps. Black birds will make their homes in those empty houses.

BNV : নীনবী এখন খুব গর্বিত| এটি একটি সুখী নগর| নগরের জনসাধারণ ভাবছে তারা নিরাপদে আছে| তারা ভাবছে, পৃথিবীর মধ্যে নীনবীই হচ্ছে সেই মহান জায়গা| কিন্তু এই দেশটি ধ্বংস হবে| নগরটি এমন একটি খালি জায়গা হযে য়াবে য়েখানে বন্য প্রাণীরাই বিশ্রাম নিতে য়ায| লোকেরা য়ারা ঐ জায়গা দিযে যাবে তারা যখন দেখতে পাবে কি বিশ্রীভাবে ঐ শহরটি ধ্বংস হয়েছিল তখন তারা শিষ দেবে আর অবাক হয়ে মাথা নাড়াবে|
KJV : This [is] the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I [am,] and [there is] none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, [and] wag his hand.
YLT : This [is] the exulting city that is dwelling confidently, That is saying in her heart, `I [am], and beside me there is none,` How hath she been for a desolation, A crouching-place for beasts, Every one passing by her doth hiss, He doth shake his hand!

RSV : This is the exultant city that dwelt secure, that said to herself, "I am and there is none else." What a desolation she has become, a lair for wild beasts! Every one who passes by her hisses and shakes his fist.

ESV : This is the exultant city that lived securely, that said in her heart, "I am, and there is no one else." What a desolation she has become, a lair for wild beasts! Everyone who passes by her hisses and shakes his fist.
ERVEN : Nineveh is so proud now. It is such a happy city. The people think they are safe. They think Nineveh is the greatest place in the world, but it will be destroyed! It will be an empty place where only wild animals go to rest. People who pass by will whistle and shake their heads when they see how badly the city was destroyed.
