KJV : Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
YLT : Open, O Lebanon, thy doors, And fire doth devour among thy cedars.

BNV : বৃহত্‌ এরস বৃক্ষগুলিকে পুড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে বলে দেবদারু বৃক্ষরা কাঁদবে| ঐসব দৃঢ় বৃক্ষগুলিকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে| বাশনের ওক গাছগুলি দুষ্প্রবেশ্য বন কেটে ফেলা হয়েছে বলে কাঁদবে|
KJV : Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.
YLT : Howl, O fir, for fallen hath the cedar, For their honourable ones were destroyed, Howl, ye oaks of Bashan, For come down hath the fenced forest,
RV : Howl, O fir tree, for the cedar is fallen, because the goodly ones are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest is come down.
RSV : Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen, for the glorious trees are ruined! Wail, oaks of Bashan, for the thick forest has been felled!

ESV : Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen, for the glorious trees are ruined! Wail, oaks of Bashan, for the thick forest has been felled!
ERVEN : The cypress trees will cry because the cedar trees have fallen. Those powerful trees will be taken away. Oak trees in Bashan will cry for the forest that was cut down.

BNV : শোন মেষপালকরা কাঁদছে কারণ তারা তাদের পশুচারণভূমি হারিয়েছে| যুব সিংহশাবকগুলির গর্জন শোন| যর্দন নদীর ধারের ঘন বনটি ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছে|
KJV : [There is] a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.
YLT : A voice of the howling of the shepherds! For destroyed was their robe of honour, A voice of the roaring of young lions! For destroyed was the excellency of Jordan.

ERVEN : Listen to the crying shepherds. Their powerful leaders were taken away. Listen to the roaring of the young lions. Their thick bushes near the Jordan River have all been taken away.

BNV : প্রভু আমার ঈশ্বর এই কথাগুলি বলেন, “য়ে মেষগুলিকে হত্যা করবার জন্য পালন করা হচ্ছে তাদের যত্ন নাও|
KJV : Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;
YLT : Thus said Jehovah my God: `Feed the flock of the slaughter,

RSV : Thus said the LORD my God: "Become shepherd of the flock doomed to slaughter.

ERVEN : The Lord my God says, "Care for the sheep that have been raised to be killed.

BNV : যারা সেগুলো কেনে ও হত্যা করে তাদের শাস্তি দেওয়া হবে না| য়ে সব ব্যবসায়ী মেষগুলো বিক্রিী করেছে তারা বলে, ‘প্রভুর প্রশংসা কর, আমি ধনী হয়ে উঠেছি!’ মেষপালকরা তাদের মেষদের জন্য দুঃখিত হয় নি|
KJV : Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed [be] the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.
YLT : Whose buyers slay them, and are not guilty, And their sellers say, Blessed [is] Jehovah, And I am rich, And their shepherds have no pity on them.

ERVEN : Owners kill their sheep and are not punished. Those who sell the sheep and say, 'Praise the Lord, I am rich!' The shepherds don't feel sorry for their sheep.

BNV : আমি এই দেশে য়ে লোকেরা থাকে তাদের প্রতি সহানুভূতিপূর্ণও হব না” প্রভু এইসব কথা বলেছেন, “আমি প্রত্যেককে তার প্রতিবেশী ও রাজার দ্বারা অপব্যবহৃত হতে দেব| আমি তাদের দেশ ধ্বংস করতে দেব| আমি তা বন্ধ করব না!”
KJV : For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour’s hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver [them. ]
YLT : For I have pity no more on inhabitants of the land, An affirmation of Jehovah, And lo, I am causing man to come forth, Each into the hand of his neighbour, And into the hand of his king, And they have beaten down the land, And I do not deliver out of their hand.`
RV : For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour-s hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.
RSV : For I will no longer have pity on the inhabitants of this land, says the LORD. Lo, I will cause men to fall each into the hand of his shepherd, and each into the hand of his king; and they shall crush the earth, and I will deliver none from their hand."

ERVEN : And I don't feel sorry for the people who live in this country." This is what the Lord said: "Look, I will let everyone be under the control of their neighbor and king. I will let them destroy the country—I will not stop them!"

BNV : তাই আমি সেই সব হতভাগ্য মেষের যত্ন নিলাম, যাদের হত্যা করার জন্য পালন করা হয়েছিল| আমি এই কাজের জন্য দুটি লাঠি নিলাম| একটি লাঠির নাম দিলাম মনোরম, আর অন্যটির নাম দিলাম ঐক্য| তারপর আমি মেষদের যত্ন নিতে শুরু করলাম|
KJV : And I will feed the flock of slaughter, [even] you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
YLT : And I feed the flock of slaughter, even you, ye afflicted of the flock; and I take to me two staves, the one I have called Pleasantness, and the other I have called Bands, and I feed the flock.
RV : So I fed the flock of slaughter, verily the poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
RSV : So I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slain for those who trafficked in the sheep. And I took two staffs; one I named Grace, the other I named Union. And I tended the sheep.
ASV : So I fed the flock of slaughter, verily the poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
ESV : So I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slaughtered by the sheep traders. And I took two staffs, one I named Favor, the other I named Union. And I tended the sheep.
ERVEN : So I took care of the sheep that had been raised to be killed—those poor sheep. I found two sticks. I called one stick Favor, and I called the other stick Union. Then I began caring for the sheep.

BNV : এক মাসের মধ্যে আমি তিনজন মেষপালককে বরখাস্ত করলাম| আমি মেষদের প্রতি অধৈর্য় হলাম এবং তারাও আমাকে ঘৃণা করতে শুরু করল|
KJV : Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.
YLT : And I cut off the three shepherds in one month, and my soul is grieved with them, and also their soul hath abhorred me.

ERVEN : I fired the three shepherds all in one month. I got angry at the sheep, and they began to hate me.

BNV : তখন আমি বললাম, “আমি চললাম, আমি তোমাদের যত্ন নেব না| য়ে সব লোকেরা মরতে বসেছে, তারা মরুক | যারা ধ্বংস হতে চলেছে তাদের ধ্বংস হোক | এবং যারা বাকী থাকবে তারা একে অপরকে ধ্বংস করুক|”
KJV : Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
YLT : And I say, `I do not feed you, the dying, let die; and the cut off, let be cut off; and the remaining ones, let each eat the flesh of its neighbour.`
RV : Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let them which are left eat every one the flesh of another.
RSV : So I said, "I will not be your shepherd. What is to die, let it die; what is to be destroyed, let it be destroyed; and let those that are left devour the flesh of one another."
ASV : Then said I, I will not feed you: that which dieth, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let them that are left eat every one the flesh of another.
ESV : So I said, "I will not be your shepherd. What is to die, let it die. What is to be destroyed, let it be destroyed. And let those who are left devour the flesh of one another."
ERVEN : Then I said, "I quit! I will not take care of you! I will let those that want to die, die. I will let those who want to be destroyed, be destroyed, and those who are left will destroy each other."

BNV : এরপর আমি “মনোরম” নামক লাঠিটা নিলাম এবং তা ভেঙ্গে ফেললাম| সমস্ত লোকেদের সঙ্গে ঈশ্বরের চুক্তি য়ে ভেঙ্গে চুরমার হয়ে গিয়েছিল তা দেখাবার জন্য আমি এটা করলাম|
KJV : And I took my staff, [even] Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.
YLT : And I take My staff Pleasantness, and cut it asunder, to make void My covenant that I had made with all the peoples:
RV : And I took my staff Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.
RSV : And I took my staff Grace, and I broke it, annulling the covenant which I had made with all the peoples.
ASV : And I took my staff Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

ERVEN : Then I took the stick named Favor, and I broke it. I did this to show that God's agreement with his people was broken.

BNV : তাই, সেই দিনে চুক্তিটি এবং সেই হতভাগ্য মেষেরা যারা আমাকে লক্ষ্য করছিল, তারা জানল য়ে এই বার্তা ঈশ্বরের কাছ থেকে এসেছিল|
KJV : And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it [was] the word of the LORD.
YLT : and it is broken in that day, and know well do the afflicted of the flock who are observing me, that it [is] a word of Jehovah.
RV : And it was broken in that day: and thus the poor of the flock that gave heed unto me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
RSV : So it was annulled on that day, and the traffickers in the sheep, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the LORD.

ERVEN : So that day the agreement was finished, and those poor sheep watching me knew that this message was from the Lord.

BNV : তখন আমি বললাম, “তুমি যদি আমায় বেতন দিতে চাও তো দাও, নতুবা দিও না!” তাই তারা আমায় 30 টি রূপোর মুদ্রা দিল|
KJV : And I said unto them, If ye think good, give [me] my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty [pieces] of silver.
YLT : And I say unto them: `If good in your eyes, give my hire, and if not, forbear;` and they weigh out my hire -- thirty silverlings.
RV : And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my hire; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my hire thirty {cf15i pieces} of silver.
RSV : Then I said to them, "If it seems right to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them." And they weighed out as my wages thirty shekels of silver.

BNV : তখন প্রভু আমায় বললেন, “তাদের চোখে আমি ঐরকম মূল্যবান| ঐ টাকা মন্দিরের অর্থভাণ্ডারে ছুঁড়ে ফেল|” তাই আমি সেই 30 টি রূপোর মুদ্রা নিয়ে প্রভুর মন্দিরের অর্থ ভাণ্ডারে ছুঁড়ে দিলাম|
KJV : And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty [pieces] of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
YLT : And Jehovah saith unto me, `Cast it unto the potter;` the goodly price that I have been prized at by them, and I take the thirty silverlings, and cast them [to] the house of Jehovah, unto the potter.
RV : And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter, the goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty {cf15i pieces} of silver, and cast them unto the potter, in the house of the LORD.
RSV : Then the LORD said to me, "Cast it into the treasury" -- the lordly price at which I was paid off by them. So I took the thirty shekels of silver and cast them into the treasury in the house of the LORD.
ASV : And Jehovah said unto me, Cast it unto the potter, the goodly price that I was prized at by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them unto the potter, in the house of Jehovah.
ESV : Then the LORD said to me, "Throw it to the potter"- the lordly price at which I was priced by them. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the LORD, to the potter.
ERVEN : Then the Lord told me, "So that's how much they think I'm worth. Throw that large amount of money into the Temple treasury." So I took the 30 pieces of silver and threw them into the treasury at the Lord's Temple.

BNV : এরপর আমি ঐক্য নামক লাঠিটা নিয়ে দুই টুকরো করে ভাঙলাম| যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে য়ে আর ঐক্য নেই সেটা তাদের বোঝাবার জন্য আমি এটা করলাম|
KJV : Then I cut asunder mine other staff, [even] Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
YLT : And I cut asunder my second staff, Bands, to break the unity between Judah and Israel.

BNV : তখন প্রভু আমায় বললেন, “এখন সেইসব জিনিস নাও যা কেবলমাত্র একজন মূর্খ মেষপালক ব্যবহার করে|
KJV : And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
YLT : And Jehovah saith unto me, `Again take to thee the instrument of a foolish shepherd.
RV : And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet again the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
RSV : Then the LORD said to me, "Take once more the implements of a worthless shepherd.
ASV : And Jehovah said unto me, Take unto thee yet again the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
ESV : Then the LORD said to me, "Take once more the equipment of a foolish shepherd.
ERVEN : Then the Lord said to me, "Now, get the things a foolish shepherd might use.

BNV : এটা থেকেই তারা বুঝবে য়ে আমি আমার দেশে একজন নতুন মেষপালক আনব| য়ে মেষেরা মারা যাচ্ছে তাদের যত্ন এই যুবক নিতে পারবে না| সে আহত মেষদের সুস্থ করতে পারবে না| যারা বেঁচে রয়েছে তাদের সে খাওয়াতে পারবে না| সুস্থ সবল মেষদের মেরে ফেলা হবে এবং তাদের মাংস সম্পূর্ণরূপে খেয়ে ফেলা হবে| কেবল তাদের ক্ষুরগুলো পড়ে থাকবে|”
KJV : For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, [which] shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
YLT : For lo, I am raising up a shepherd in the land, The cut off he doth not inspect, The shaken off he doth not seek, And the broken he doth not heal, The standing he doth not sustain, And the flesh of the fat he doth eat, And their hoofs he doth break off.
RV : For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek those that be scattered, nor heal that that is broken; neither shall he feed that which is sound, but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and shall tear their hoofs in pieces.
RSV : For lo, I am raising up in the land a shepherd who does not care for the perishing, or seek the wandering, or heal the maimed, or nourish the sound, but devours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.
ASV : For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not visit those that are cut off, neither will seek those that are scattered, nor heal that which is broken, nor feed that which is sound; but he will eat the flesh of the fat sheep, and will tear their hoofs in pieces.
ESV : For behold, I am raising up in the land a shepherd who does not care for those being destroyed, or seek the young or heal the maimed or nourish the healthy, but devours the flesh of the fat ones, tearing off even their hoofs.
ERVEN : This will show that I will get a new shepherd for this country. But this young man will not be able to take care of the sheep that are being destroyed. He will not be able to heal the hurt sheep or feed those that are left alive. And the healthy ones will be eaten completely—only their hoofs will be left."

BNV : ওহে আমার অকর্মণ্য মেষপালক, তোমরা আমার মেষদের ত্যাগ করেছ| ওকে শাস্তি দাও! ওর ডান চোখে ও হাতে তরবারি দিয়ে আঘাত কর| তার ডান হাত নিষ্কর্মা হয়ে যাবে| তার ডান চোখ অন্ধ হবে|
KJV : Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword [shall be] upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
YLT : Wo [to] the worthless shepherd, forsaking the flock, A sword [is] on his arm, and on his right eye, His arm is utterly dried up, And his right eye is very dim!`
RV : Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaveth the flock, the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.
RSV : Woe to my worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword smite his arm and his right eye! Let his arm be wholly withered, his right eye utterly blinded!"

ERVEN : Too bad for you, you worthless shepherd! You abandoned my sheep. Punish him! Strike his arm and right eye with a sword. His arm will be useless. His right eye will be blind.
