BNV : সেই খুনেদের শহরের পক্ষে এটা খুবই খারাপ হবে| নীনবী এমনই এক মিথ্যায় পূর্ণ শহর|অন্য দেশ থেকে নিয়ে আসা জিনিষ দিয়ে এ শহর ভর্তি করা হয়েছে| শহরটি হত্যা ও লুঠ করা থেকে কখনও বিরত হয় না|
KJV : Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies [and] robbery; the prey departeth not;
YLT : Wo [to] the city of blood, She is all with lies -- burglary -- full, Prey doth not depart.
RV : Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and rapine; the prey departeth not.
RSV : Woe to the bloody city, all full of lies and booty -- no end to the plunder!

ERVEN : It will be very bad for that city of murderers. Nineveh is a city full of lies. It is filled with things taken from other countries. It is filled with plenty of people that it hunted and killed.

BNV : তোমরা চাবুক মারার শব্দ, চাকার শব্দ, ঘোড়াদের টগবগিয়ে যাবার শব্দ এবং রথগুলোর লাফিযে যাবার শব্দ শুনতে পাচ্ছো|
KJV : The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
YLT : The sound of a whip, And the sound of the rattling of a wheel, And of a prancing horse, and of a bounding chariot, Of a horseman mounting.
RV : The noise of the whip, and the noise of the rattling of wheels; and pransing horses, and jumping chariots;
RSV : The crack of whip, and rumble of wheel, galloping horse and bounding chariot!

BNV : অশ্বারোহী সৈন্যরা আক্রমণ করছে; তাদের তরবারিগুলো জ্বল-জ্বল করে উঠছে এবং তাদের বর্শাগুলো চকচক করছে! সেখানে অনেক মৃত মানুষের দেহ, মৃতদেহগুলি স্তুপীকৃত, এতগুলি দেহ য়ে গোনা যায় না| লোকরা মৃতদেহগুলির ওপর হোঁচট খেয়ে পড়ছে|
KJV : The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and [there is] a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and [there is] none end of [their] corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
YLT : And the flame of a sword, and the lightning of a spear, And the abundance of the wounded, And the weight of carcases, Yea, there is no end to the bodies, They stumble over their bodies.

ERVEN : Soldiers on horses are attacking, their swords are shining, their spears are gleaming! There are many dead people. Dead bodies are piled up— too many bodies to count. People are tripping over the dead bodies.

BNV : নীনবীর জন্যই এই সব কিছু ঘটেছে| নীনবী ঠিক য়েন বেশ্যার মতো য়ে কখনোই কিছু পাযনি| সে আরো আরো চেয়েছে| সে নিজেকে বহু জাতির কাছে বিক্রী করে দিয়েছিল| তার মাযাবী যাদু দিয়ে সে তাদের তার দাস বানিয়ে ফেলেছে|
KJV : Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
YLT : Because of the abundance of the fornications of an harlot, The goodness of the grace of the lady of witchcrafts, Who is selling nations by her fornications, And families by her witchcrafts.
RV : because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well favoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
RSV : And all for the countless harlotries of the harlot, graceful and of deadly charms, who betrays nations with her harlotries, and peoples with her charms.

ESV : And all for the countless whorings of the prostitute, graceful and of deadly charms, who betrays nations with her whorings, and peoples with her charms.
ERVEN : All this happened because of Nineveh. Nineveh is like a prostitute who could never get enough. She wanted more and more. She sold herself to many nations, and she used her magic to make them her slaves.

BNV : সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু বলেছেন, “নীনবী, আমি তোমার বিরূদ্ধে, আমি তোমার জামাকাপড় তোমার মুখের ওপর তুলে দেবো|আমি অন্য জাতিদের কাছে তোমার নগ্ন দেহ দেখাবো| ঐ রাজ্যগুলো তোমার লজ্জা দেখবে|
KJV : Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
YLT : Lo, I [am] against thee, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And have removed thy skirts before thy face, And have shewed nations thy nakedness, And kingdoms thy shame,
RV : Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face; and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.

ERVEN : The Lord All-Powerful says, "I am against you Nineveh. I will pull your dress up over your face. I will let the nations see your naked body. The kingdoms will see your shame.

BNV : আমি তোমার ওপর নোংরা জিনিষ ছুঁড়ে দেবো| আমি তোমার সঙ্গে ঘৃণ্য আচরণ করবো| লোকে তোমাকে দেখে হাসবে|
KJV : And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.
YLT : And I have cast upon thee abominations, And dishonoured thee, and made thee as a sight.

BNV : তোমাকে দেখে প্রত্যেকেই চমকে উঠবে| তারা বলবে, ‘নীনবী ধ্বংস হয়েছে| কে তার জন্য কাঁদবে’ আমি জানি, নীনবী তোমাকে সান্ত্বনা দেবার জন্য কাউকে পাওয়া যাবে না|’
KJV : And it shall come to pass, [that] all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
YLT : And it hath come to pass, Each of thy beholders fleeth from thee, And hath said: `Spoiled is Nineveh, Who doth bemoan for her?` Whence do I seek comforters for thee?
RV : And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
RSV : And all who look on you will shrink from you and say, Wasted is Nineveh; who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for her?

ERVEN : Everyone who sees you will be shocked. They will say, 'Nineveh is destroyed. Who will cry for her?' I know I cannot find anyone to comfort you, Nineveh."

BNV : নীনবী, তুমি কি নীল নদের কুলে অবস্থিত থীব্সের চেয়ে ভালো ? না| থীবসের চারিদিকেও জল ছিল| থীবস্ তার শত্রুদের হাত থেকে রক্ষা পাওয়ার জন্য এই জলই ব্যবহার করত| আত্মরক্ষার দেওয়ালের মত সে সেই জল ব্যবহার করত|
KJV : Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers, [that had] the waters round about it, whose rampart [was] the sea, [and] her wall [was] from the sea?
YLT : Art thou better than No-Ammon, That is dwelling among brooks? Waters she hath round about her, Whose bulwark [is] the sea, waters her wall.

ERVEN : Nineveh, are you better than Thebes on the Nile River? Thebes also had water all around her to protect herself from enemies. She used that water like a wall too.

BNV : কূশ এবং মিশর থীব্সকে অনেক সামর্থ্য যুগিয়েছিল| সুদান এবং লিবীয়া তাকে সমর্থন করেছিল|
KJV : Ethiopia and Egypt [were] her strength, and [it was] infinite; Put and Lubim were thy helpers.
YLT : Cush her might, and Egypt, and there is no end. Put and Lubim have been for thy help.

BNV : কিন্তু থীবস্ পরাজিত হয়েছিল| তার অধিবাসীদের বিদেশে কয়েদী হিসেবে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছিল| রাস্তার প্রত্যেক মোড়ে সৈন্যরা নীনবীর ছোট ছোট বাচ্চাদের মেরে ফেলেছিল| তারা ঘুঁটি চেলে দেখেছিল কোন্ গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিদের কারা ক্রীতদাস করে রাখবে| তারা থীবসের সব গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিদের শেকল দিয়ে বেঁধেছিল|
KJV : Yet [was] she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.

ERVEN : but Thebes was defeated. Her people were taken away as prisoners to a foreign country. Soldiers beat her small children to death at every street corner. They threw lots to see who got to keep the important people as slaves. They put chains on all the important men of Thebes.

BNV : সেজন্য নীনবী মাতাল লোকদের মতো তোমারও পতন হবে| তুমি লুকোবার চেষ্টা করবে| শত্রুদের হাত থেকে নিজেকে দূরে রাখার জন্য তুমি একটি নিরাপদ স্থান খুঁজবে|
KJV : Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek strength because of the enemy.
YLT : Even thou art drunken, thou art hidden, Even thou dost seek a strong place, because of an enemy.

BNV : কিন্তু নীনবী তোমার সমস্ত শক্তিশালী জায়গাগুলি ডুমুর গাছের মত হবে| নতুন ডুমুরগুলি যখন পাকে, এক জন লোক আসে আর গাছটিকে নাড়া দেয| ডুমুরগুলি সেই লোকটির মুখের মধ্যে গিয়ে পড়ে| সে সেগুলো খেয়ে ফেলে আর ডুমুরগুলো ঐখানেই শেষ|
KJV : All thy strong holds [shall be like] fig trees with the firstripe figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.
YLT : All thy fortresses [are] fig-trees with first-fruits, If they are shaken, They have fallen into the mouth of the eater.

BNV : নীনবী, তোমার সব লোক য়েন স্ত্রীলোকের মত এবং শত্রুপক্ষের সৈন্যরা তাদের নিয়ে যাওয়ার জন্য প্রস্তুত| তোমাদের দেশের দরজাগুলো শত্রুদের ঢুকে পড়ার জন্য প্রশস্তভাবে খোলা| ফটকগুলির আড়াআড়ি কাঠের গরাদগুলো পুড়ে গিয়েছিল|
KJV : Behold, thy people in the midst of thee [are] women: the gates of thy land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.
YLT : Lo, thy people [are] women in thy midst, To thine enemies thoroughly opened Have been the gates of thy land, Consumed hath fire thy bars.

ERVEN : Nineveh, your people are all like women—and the enemy soldiers are ready to take them. The gates of your land are open wide for your enemies to come in. Fire has destroyed the wooden bars across the gates.

BNV : জল নিয়ে এসে তোমার নগরের ভেতর জমিযে রেখে দাও| কেন? কারণ শত্রুপক্ষের সৈন্যরা তোমার শহরের চারদিক ঘিরে ফেলবে| তারা কোন লোককে নগরের মধ্যে খাবার অথবা জল আনতে দেবে না| তোমার প্রতিরক্ষাগুলিকে আরো শক্তিশালী করে গড়ে তোলো| বেশি ইঁট বানানোর জন্য মাটি নাও| চূন, বালি, সুরকি মেশাও| ইঁট তৈরী করবার জন্য চুল্লী জোগাড় কর!
KJV : Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into clay, and tread the morter, make strong the brickkiln.

BNV : তোমরা শুধু এসব কাজই করতে পারো, কিন্তু আগুন তোমাদের সম্পূর্ণবূপে ধ্বংস করবে| এবং তরবারিই তোমাদের হত্যা করবে| তোমাদের দেশাকে এমন দেখাবে য়েন পঙ্গপালের ঝাঁক এসে সব খেয়ে নিয়েছে|নীনবী ফড়িংএর ঝাঁকের মত, পঙ্গপালের দলের মত বেড়ে চলেছিল|
KJV : There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm, make thyself many as the locusts.
YLT : There consume thee doth a fire, Cut thee off doth a sword, It doth consume thee as a cankerworm! Make thyself heavy as the cankerworm, Make thyself heavy as the locust.

ERVEN : You can do all these things, but the fire will still destroy you completely. And the sword will kill you. Your land will look like a swarm of grasshoppers came and ate everything. Nineveh, you grew and grew. You became like a swarm of grasshoppers. You were like a swarm of locusts.

BNV : বহু ব্যবসায়ী লোক তোমার কাছে আছে যারা নানা জায়গায় গিয়ে জিনিষ কেনে| তারা য়েন আকাশের নক্ষত্রের মত অসংখ্য়| তারা য়েন পঙ্গপালের মত, যারা খেতে আসে য়ে পর্য়ন্ত না সব শেষ হয়| তারপর তারা ছেড়ে যায়|
KJV : Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoileth, and fleeth away.
YLT : Multiply thy merchants above the stars of the heavens, The cankerworm hath stripped off, and doth flee away.

ERVEN : You have many traders who go places and buy things. They are as many as the stars in the sky. They are like locusts that come and eat until everything is gone and then leave.

BNV : এবং তোমার সরকারী কর্মকর্তারাও পঙ্গপালের মত| তারা ঠাণ্ডার দিনে পাথরের দেওয়ালে বসা পঙ্গপালের মত| যখন সূর্য় উঠে পাথরগুলো গরম হয় তখন সব পঙ্গপালগুলো উড়ে যায় এবং কেউ জানে না তারা কোথায যায়! তোমার সরকারী কর্মচারীরাও ঠিক ঐরকম|
KJV : Thy crowned [are] as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, [but] when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they [are. ]
YLT : Thy crowned ones [are] as a locust, And thy princes as great grasshoppers, That encamp in hedges in a day of cold, The sun hath risen, and it doth flee away, And not known is its place where they are.
RV : Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy marshals as the swarms of grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.
RSV : Your princes are like grasshoppers, your scribes like clouds of locusts settling on the fences in a day of cold -- when the sun rises, they fly away; no one knows where they are.

ERVEN : And your government officials are also like locusts that settle on a stone wall on a cold day. But when the sun comes up, the rocks become warm, and the locusts all fly away. And no one knows where.

BNV : অশূরের রাজা, তোমার মেষপালকরা গভীরভাবে ঘুমিযে পড়েছে| সেইসব শক্তিশালী লোকরা ঘুমোচ্ছে এবং এখন তোমার মেষের দল (লোকরা) পর্বতের চারিদিকে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে| তাদের ফিরিয়ে আনার জন্য কোন লোকই নেই|
KJV : Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: thy nobles shall dwell [in the dust:] thy people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathereth [them. ]

ERVEN : King of Assyria, your shepherds fell asleep. These powerful men are sleeping. And now your sheep have wandered away on the mountains. There is no one to bring them back.

BNV : নীনবী, তুমি খারাপভাবে আঘাত পেয়েছো| কোন কিছুই তোমার আঘাত সারাতে পারবে না| যারাই তোমার ধ্বংসের কথা শোনে, তারা হাততালি দেয| তারা সবাই খুশী| কেন? কারণ তুমি সব সময় য়ে সব ব্যথা দিয়ে থাকো তা তারা সবাই অনুভব করেছে!

ERVEN : Nineveh, you have been hurt badly, and nothing can heal your wound. Everyone who hears the news of your destruction claps their hands. They are all happy, because they all felt the pain you caused again and again.
