BNV : দেখ, প্রভু সিয়োনের লোকেদের কেমন করে বাতিল করেছেন| তিনি ইস্রায়েলের মহিমাকে আকাশ থেকে মাটিতে নিক্ষেপ করেছেন| তাঁর রোধর দিনে প্রভু তাঁর পাদানি অর্থাত্‌ মন্দিরের কথা পর্য়ন্ত মনে রাখেননি|
KJV : How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, [and] cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!
YLT : How doth the Lord cloud in His anger the daughter of Zion, He hath cast from heaven [to] earth the beauty of Israel, And hath not remembered His footstool in the day of His anger.

KJV : The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought [them] down to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.
YLT : Swallowed up hath the Lord, He hath not pitied any of the pleasant places of Jacob, He hath broken down in His wrath The fortresses of the daughter of Judah, He hath caused to come to the earth, He polluted the kingdom and its princes.

KJV : He hath cut off in [his] fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, [which] devoureth round about.

BNV : একজন শএুর মত প্রভু তাঁর ধনুক বেঁকিয়ে দিয়েছিলেন| তিনি তাঁর দক্ষিণ হস্তে নিয়েছিলেন একটি তরবারি| তিনি যিহূদার সমস্ত সুদর্শন লোকদের হত্যা করেছিলেন| প্রভু তাঁদের হত্যা করলেন যেন তিনি তাদের শএু| প্রভু তাঁর রোধ অগ্নির মত সিয়োনের গৃহগুলির উপর বর্ষণ করলেন|
KJV : He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all [that were] pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.

KJV : And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as [if it were of] a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.
YLT : And He shaketh as a garden His tabernacle, He hath destroyed His appointed place, Jehovah hath forgotten in Zion the appointed time and sabbath, And despiseth, in the indignation of His anger, king and priest.

ESV : He has laid waste his booth like a garden, laid in ruins his meeting place; the LORD has made Zion forget festival and Sabbath, and in his fierce indignation has spurned king and priest.
ERVEN : The Lord pulled up his own tent as if it were a garden. He has ruined the place where the people went to meet to worship him. The Lord has made people forget the special assemblies and special days of rest in Zion. He rejected the king and the priests. He was angry and rejected them.

KJV : The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.

ERVEN : He rejected his altar, and he rejected his Holy Place of worship. He let the enemy pull down the walls of the palaces of Jerusalem. The enemy shouted with joy in the Lord's Temple. They made noise, as though it were a festival.

BNV : সিয়োনের লোকদের চারপাশে যে দেওয়াল ছিল সেটা প্রভু ধ্বংস করবার পরিকল্পনা করেছিলেন| দেওয়ালটি কোথা থেকে ভাঙ্গতে হবে তা বোঝানোর জন্য তিনি দেওয়ালে একটি মাপের দাগ কেটে ছিলেন| তিনি নিজেকে ধ্বংসকার্য় থেকে বিরত করেননি| সব দেওয়ালগুলিকে তিনি দুঃখে কাঁদিয়ে ছিলেন| সবগুলো একই সময় ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছিল|
KJV : The LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.

ERVEN : The Lord planned to destroy the wall of Daughter Zion. He marked the wall with a measuring line. He didn't stop himself from destroying it. He made all the walls cry out in sadness. Together they wasted away.

BNV : সিয়োনের বয়োবৃদ্ধরা মাটিতে বসেন তাঁরা শান্ত হয়ে মাটিতে বসে থাকেন| তাঁরা তাঁদের মাথায় ধূলো ছড়ান তারা চটের বস্ত্র পরেন| জেরুশালেমের যুবতী নারীরা দুঃখে তাঁদের মাথা আভূমি নত করেন|
KJV : The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, [and] keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
YLT : Sit on the earth -- keep silent do the elders of the daughter of Zion, They have caused dust to go up on their head, They have girded on sackcloth, Put down to the earth their head have the virgins of Jerusalem.

BNV : আমার চোখ কেঁদে কেঁদে ক্লান্ত, আমার অন্তর বিচলিত| মনে হচ্ছে যেন আমার হৃদয়কে মাটিতে ফেলে দেওয়া হয়েছে| আমার লোকরা ধ্বংস হয়েছে বলেই আমার এমন মনে হচ্ছে| ছেলেমেয়েরা এবং শিশুরা অজ্ঞান হয়ে যাচ্ছে| শহরের প্রকাশ্য চৌপাটিতে তারা অজ্ঞান হয়ে যাচ্ছে|
KJV : Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.
YLT : Consumed by tears have been my eyes, Troubled have been my bowels, Poured out to the earth hath been my liver, For the breach of the daughter of my people; In infant and suckling being feeble, In the broad places of the city,

BNV : সেই বালক-বালিকারা তাদের মায়েদের বলে, “কোথায় আছে রুটি আর দ্রাক্ষারস?” তারা মরে যেতে যেতে এই প্রশ্ন করে তারা তাদের মায়ের কোলে মারা যায়|
KJV : They say to their mothers, Where [is] corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers’ bosom.
YLT : To their mothers they say, `Where [are] corn and wine?` In their becoming feeble as a pierced one In the broad places of the city, In their soul pouring itself out into the bosom of their mothers.

BNV : জেরুশালেমের জনগণ, আমি কাদের সঙ্গে তোমাদের তুলনা করব? সিয়োনের জনগণ, আমি কিসের সঙ্গে তোমাদের তুলনা করব? আমি কেমন করে তোমায় স্বাচ্ছন্দ্য দেব? তোমার ধ্বংস সমুদ্রের মতো বিশাল মনে হয় না কেউ তোমায় সারিয়ে তুলতে পারবে!
KJV : What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee?
YLT : What do I testify [to] thee, what do I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? What do I equal to thee, and I comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? For great as a sea [is] thy breach, Who doth give healing to thee?

ERVEN : Daughter Zion, what can I compare you to? What can I compare you to, Virgin Daughter Zion? How can I comfort you? Your destruction is as big as the sea. I don't think anyone can heal you.

KJV : Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.
YLT : Thy prophets have seen for thee a false and insipid thing, And have not revealed concerning thine iniquity, To turn back thy captivity, And they see for thee false burdens and causes of expulsion.
RV : Thy prophets have seen visions for thee of vanity and foolishness; and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to bring again thy captivity: but have seen for thee burdens of vanity and causes of banishment.
RSV : Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; they have not exposed your iniquity to restore your fortunes, but have seen for you oracles false and misleading.
ASV : Thy prophets have seen for thee false and foolish visions; And they have not uncovered thine iniquity, to bring back thy captivity, But have seen for thee false oracles and causes of banishment.
ESV : Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; they have not exposed your iniquity to restore your fortunes, but have seen for you oracles that are false and misleading.
ERVEN : Your prophets saw visions for you, but their visions were only worthless lies. They didn't speak against your sins. They didn't try to make things better. They spoke messages for you, but they were false messages that fooled you.
