BNV : যখন গম তোলার সময় হল শিম্শোন তার স্ত্রীর সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেল| স্ত্রীকে দেবার জন্যে একটা কচি পাঁঠা নিয়ে গেল| শ্বশুরকে গিয়ে বলল, “আমি স্ত্রীর ঘরে ঢুকছি|”কিন্তু মেয়ের পিতা শিম্শোনকে ঢুকতে দিল না|
KJV : But it came to pass within a while after, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in.
YLT : And it cometh to pass, after [some] days, in the days of wheat-harvest, that Samson looketh after his wife, with a kid of the goats, and saith, `I go in unto my wife, to the inner chamber;` and her father hath not permitted him to go in,
RV : But it came to pass after a while, in the time of wheat harvest, that Samson visited his wife with a kid; and he said, I will go in to my wife into the chamber. But her father would not suffer him to go in.

ESV : After some days, at the time of wheat harvest, Samson went to visit his wife with a young goat. And he said, "I will go in to my wife in the chamber." But her father would not allow him to go in.
ERVEN : At the time of the wheat harvest, Samson went to visit his wife. He took a young goat with him as a gift. He said, "I am going to my wife's room." But her father would not let Samson go in.

BNV : তার পিতা শিম্শোনকে বলল, “আমি ভেবেছিলাম তুমি তাকে ঘৃণা কর| তাই তার বিয়ে দিয়েছি একটি সেরা পাত্রের সঙ্গে| আমার ছোট মেয়ে আরও সুন্দরী| তুমি তাকেই নাও|”
KJV : And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: [is] not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.
YLT : and her father saith, I certainly said, that thou didst certainly hate her, and I give her to thy companion; is not her sister -- the young one -- better than she? Let her be, I pray thee, to thee, instead of her.`
RV : And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.
RSV : And her father said, "I really thought that you utterly hated her; so I gave her to your companion. Is not her younger sister fairer than she? Pray take her instead."
ASV : And her father said, I verily thought that thou hadst utterly hated her; therefore I gave her to thy companion: is not her younger sister fairer than she? take her, I pray thee, instead of her.
ESV : And her father said, "I really thought that you utterly hated her, so I gave her to your companion. Is not her younger sister more beautiful than she? Please take her instead."
ERVEN : He said, "I thought you hated her, so I let her marry the best man at the wedding. Her younger sister is more beautiful. Take her younger sister."

BNV : শিম্শোন বলল, “এখন তোমাদের মানে পলেষ্টীয়দের ওপর আঘাত হানলে কেউ আর আমাকে দোষ দিতে পারবে না|”
KJV : And Samson said concerning them, Now shall I be more blameless than the Philistines, though I do them a displeasure.
YLT : And Samson saith of them, `I am more innocent this time than the Philistines, though I am doing with them evil.`
RV : And Samson said unto them, This time shall I be blameless in regard of the Philistines, when I do them a mischief.
RSV : And Samson said to them, "This time I shall be blameless in regard to the Philistines, when I do them mischief."
ASV : And Samson said unto them, This time shall I be blameless in regard of the Philistines, when I do them a mischief.
ESV : And Samson said to them, "This time I shall be innocent in regard to the Philistines, when I do them harm."
ERVEN : But Samson said to him, "Now I have a good reason to hurt you Philistines. No one will blame me now."

BNV : এই বলে শিম্শোন বেরিয়ে গেল| সে 300 টি শেযাল ধরল| সে দুটো করে শেযাল ধরে তাদের লেজ দুটো বেঁধে জোড়া তৈরি করল| প্রত্যেক জোড়া শেযালের লেজে সে একটি করে মশাল বেঁধে দিল|
KJV : And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails.
YLT : And Samson goeth and catcheth three hundred foxes, and taketh torches, and turneth tail unto tail, and putteth a torch between the two tails, in the midst,

ERVEN : So Samson went out and caught 300 foxes. He took two foxes at a time and tied their tails together to make pairs. Then he tied a torch between the tails of each pair of foxes.

BNV : তারপর মশালগুলো জ্বেলে দিল| পলেষ্টীয়দের শস্যক্ষেত্রে সে ঐ শেযালগুলোকে ছুটিযে দিল| এই ভাবে নতুন গজানো সমস্ত গাছ আর শস্যের গাদা সে বালিয়ে দিল| দ্রাক্ষার ক্ষেত আর সমস্ত জলপাই গাছ বালিয়ে দিল|
KJV : And when he had set the brands on fire, he [let] them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards [and] olives.
YLT : and kindleth fire in the torches, and sendeth [them] out into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burneth [it] from heap even unto standing corn, even unto vineyard -- olive-yard.
RV : And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks and the standing corn, and also the oliveyards.
RSV : And when he had set fire to the torches, he let the foxes go into the standing grain of the Philistines, and burned up the shocks and the standing grain, as well as the olive orchards.
ASV : And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing grain of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks and the standing grain, and also the oliveyards.
ESV : And when he had set fire to the torches, he let the foxes go into the standing grain of the Philistines and set fire to the stacked grain and the standing grain, as well as the olive orchards.
ERVEN : He lit the torches that were between the foxes' tails and let them run through the grain fields of the Philistines. In this way he burned up the plants growing in their fields and the stacks of grain they had cut. He also burned up their vineyards and their olive trees.

BNV : পলেষ্টীয়রা জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “কে এসব কাজ করেছে?” কেউ একজন বলল, “শিমশোন করেছে| তিম্নার কোন একজনের জামাতা হচ্ছে এই শিম্শোন| তার এই কাজের কারণ তার শ্বশুর শিম্শোনের স্ত্রীকে অন্য এক সেরা পাত্রের সঙ্গে বিয়ে দিয়ে দিয়েছে|” তাই পলেষ্টীয়রা শিম্শোনের স্ত্রী আর শ্বশুরকে পুড়িয়ে মেরে ফেলল|
KJV : Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.
YLT : And the Philistines say, `Who hath done this?` And they say, `Samson, son-in-law of the Timnite, because he hath taken away his wife, and giveth her to his companion;` and the Philistines go up, and burn her and her father with fire.
RV : Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they said, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he hath taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.
RSV : Then the Philistines said, "Who has done this?" And they said, "Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife and given her to his companion." And the Philistines came up, and burned her and her father with fire.

ESV : Then the Philistines said, "Who has done this?" And they said, "Samson, the son-in-law of the Timnite, because he has taken his wife and given her to his companion." And the Philistines came up and burned her and her father with fire.
ERVEN : The Philistines asked, "Who did this?" Someone told them, "Samson, the sonin- law of the man from Timnah, did this. He did this because his father-in-law gave Samson's wife to the best man at his wedding." So the Philistines burned Samson's wife and her father to death.

BNV : শিম্শোন পলেষ্টীয়দের বলল, “তোমরা আমার ক্ষতি করেছ; এবার আমিও তোমাদের ক্ষতি করব| তারপর আমার তোমাদের ওপর প্রতিশোধ নেওয়া বন্ধ হবে|”
KJV : And Samson said unto them, Though ye have done this, yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.
YLT : And Samson saith to them, `Though ye do thus, nevertheless I am avenged on you, and afterwards I cease!`
RV : And Samson said unto them, If ye do after this manner, surely I will be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.
RSV : And Samson said to them, "If this is what you do, I swear I will be avenged upon you, and after that I will quit."
ASV : And Samson said unto them, If ye do after this manner, surely I will be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.
ESV : And Samson said to them, "If this is what you do, I swear I will be avenged on you, and after that I will quit."
ERVEN : Then Samson said to the Philistines, "You did this bad thing to me. So now I will do bad things to you. Then I will be finished with you!"

BNV : তারপর শিম্শোন পলেষ্টীয়দের আক্রমণ করল| অনেক লোককে সে হত্যা করল| তারপর সে একটা গুহায় আশ্রয় নিল| গুহাটি ছিল ঐটম শিলা নামে একটি জায়গায়|
KJV : And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam.
YLT : And he smiteth them hip and thigh -- a great smiting, and goeth down and dwelleth in the cleft of the rock Etam.

ERVEN : Samson attacked the Philistines and killed many of them. Then he went and stayed in a cave in a place named the Rock of Etam.

BNV : পলেষ্টীয়রা যিহূদায় চলে গেল| লিহী নামের একটি জায়গায় তারা বিশ্রাম নিল| তাদের সৈন্যরা সেখানে তাঁবু গাড়ল| তারা যুদ্ধের জন্য তৈরি হল|
KJV : Then the Philistines went up, and pitched in Judah, and spread themselves in Lehi.
YLT : And the Philistines go up, and encamp in Judah, and are spread out in Lehi,

BNV : যিহূদা পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর লোকরা তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করল, “তোমরা পলেষ্টীয়রা কেন এখানে আমাদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করতে এসেছ?”তারা বলল, “আমরা শিম্শোনকে ধরতে এসেছি| আমরা তাকে বন্দী করতে চাই| সে আমাদের প্রতি যা অন্যায করেছে তার জন্য তাকে শাস্তি দিতে চাই|”
KJV : And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him as he hath done to us.
YLT : and the men of Judah say, `Why have ye come up against us?` and they say, `To bind Samson we have come up, to do to him as he hath done to us.`

ERVEN : The men of the tribe of Judah asked them, "Why have you Philistines come here to fight us?" They answered, "We have come to get Samson. We want to make him our prisoner. We want to punish him for what he has done to our people."

BNV : যিহূদা পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর 3,000 লোক তখন শিম্শোনের কাছে গেল| ঐটম শিলার গুহায় গিয়ে তারা তাকে বলল, “তুমি আমাদের এ কি করলে? তুমি কি জানো না যে পলেষ্টীয়রা আমাদের শাসন করছে?শিম্শোন বলল, “তারা আমার ওপর যে অন্যায কাজ করেছে শুধুমাত্র তার জন্যেই আমি তাদের শাস্তি দিয়েছি|”
KJV : Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines [are] rulers over us? what [is] this [that] thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
YLT : And three thousand men of Judah go down unto the cleft of the rock Etam, and say to Samson, `Hast thou now known that the Philistines are rulers over us? and what [is] this thou hast done to us?` And he saith to them, `As they did to me, so I did to them.`

ERVEN : Then 3000 men from the tribe of Judah went to the cave near the Rock of Etam and said to Samson, "What have you done to us? Don't you know that the Philistines rule over us?" Samson answered, "I only punished them for what they did to me."

BNV : ওরা তখন বলল, “আমরা তোমাকে বেঁধে নিয়ে যাবার জন্য এসেছি| তোমাকে পলেষ্টীয়দের হাতে তুলে দেব|”শিম্শোন বলল, “প্রতিশ্রুতি দাও তোমরা আমাকে মারবে না|”
KJV : And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
YLT : And they say to him, `To bind thee we have come down -- to give thee into the hand of the Philistines.` And Samson saith to them, `Swear to me, lest ye fall upon me yourselves.`
RV : And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
RSV : And they said to him, "We have come down to bind you, that we may give you into the hands of the Philistines." And Samson said to them, "Swear to me that you will not fall upon me yourselves."
ASV : And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
ESV : And they said to him, "We have come down to bind you, that we may give you into the hands of the Philistines." And Samson said to them, "Swear to me that you will not attack me yourselves."
ERVEN : Then they said to Samson, "We have come to tie you up. We will give you to the Philistines." Samson said to the men from Judah, "Promise me that you yourselves will not hurt me."

BNV : ওরা বলল, “ঠিক আছে| আমরা শুধু তোমাকে বেঁধে পলেষ্টীয়দের কাছে ধরিয়ে দেব| প্রতিশ্রুতি দিচ্ছি, আমরা তোমায় হত্যা করব না|” এই বলে ওরা দুটো নতুন দড়ি দিয়ে শিম্শোনকে বেঁধে ফেলল| গুহা থেকে তাকে বের করে নিয়ে চলল|
KJV : And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new cords, and brought him up from the rock.
YLT : And they speak to him, saying, No, but we certainly bind thee, and have given thee into their hand, and we certainly do not put thee to death;` and they bind him with two thick bands, new ones, and bring him up from the rock.
RV : And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new ropes, and brought him up from the rock.
RSV : They said to him, "No; we will only bind you and give you into their hands; we will not kill you." So they bound him with two new ropes, and brought him up from the rock.
ASV : And they spake unto him, saying, No; but we will bind thee fast, and deliver thee into their hand: but surely we will not kill thee. And they bound him with two new ropes, and brought him up from the rock.
ESV : They said to him, "No; we will only bind you and give you into their hands. We will surely not kill you." So they bound him with two new ropes and brought him up from the rock.
ERVEN : The men from Judah said, "We agree. We will just tie you up and give you to the Philistines. We promise that we will not kill you." So they tied Samson with two new ropes and led him up from the cave in the rock.

BNV : শিম্শোন যখন লিহীতে এল, পলেষ্টীয়রা তাকে দেখতে এল| তারা আনন্দে চিত্কার করে উঠল| তখন প্রভুর আত্মা সবলে শিম্শোনের ওপর এল| দড়িগুলো পোড়া সূতোর মতো পলকা মনে হল এবং তার হাত থেকে খসে পড়ল| যেন সব গলে পড়েছে|
KJV : [And] when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that [were] upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.
YLT : He hath come unto Lehi -- and the Philistines have shouted at meeting him -- and the Spirit of Jehovah prospereth over him, and the thick bands which [are] on his arms are as flax which they burn with fire, and his bands are wasted from off his hands,
RV : When he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they met him: and the spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the ropes that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands dropped from off his hands.
RSV : When he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting to meet him; and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the ropes which were on his arms became as flax that has caught fire, and his bonds melted off his hands.
ASV : When he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted as they met him: and the Spirit of Jehovah came mightily upon him, and the ropes that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands dropped from off his hands.
ESV : When he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting to meet him. Then the Spirit of the LORD rushed upon him, and the ropes that were on his arms became as flax that has caught fire, and his bonds melted off his hands.
ERVEN : When Samson came to the place called Lehi, the Philistines came to meet him. They were shouting with joy. Then the Spirit of the Lord came on Samson with great power. Samson broke the ropes— they were like burned strings falling from his arms and the ropes on his hands seemed to melt away.

BNV : শিম্শোন একটা মরা গাধার চোযালের হাড় দেখতে পেল| হাড়টা নিয়ে তাই দিয়ে সে 1,000 জন পলেষ্টীয়কে হত্যা করল|
KJV : And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.
YLT : and he findeth a fresh jaw-bone of an ass, and putteth forth his hand and taketh it, and smiteth with it -- a thousand men.
RV : And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and smote a thousand men therewith.
RSV : And he found a fresh jawbone of an ass, and put out his hand and seized it, and with it he slew a thousand men.
ASV : And he found a fresh jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and smote a thousand men therewith.
ESV : And he found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, and put out his hand and took it, and with it he struck 1,000 men.
ERVEN : Samson found a jawbone of a dead donkey and killed 1000 Philistine men with it.

BNV : তখন শিম্শোন বলল: গাধার একটি চোযালের হাড় দিয়েই আমি 1,000 লোক হত্যা করেছি| একটি গাধার চোযালের হাড় দিয়ে আমি তাদের মৃতদেহগুলি জড়ো করেছি|
KJV : And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.
YLT : And Samson saith, `With a jaw-bone of the ass -- an ass upon asses -- with a jaw-bone of the ass I have smitten a thousand men.`
RV : And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jawbone of an ass have I smitten a thousand men.
RSV : And Samson said, "With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jawbone of an ass have I slain a thousand men."
ASV : And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, With the jawbone of an ass have I smitten a thousand men.
ESV : And Samson said, "With the jawbone of a donkey, heaps upon heaps, with the jawbone of a donkey have I struck down a thousand men."
ERVEN : Then Samson said, "With a donkey's jawbone, I killed 1000 men! With a donkey's jawbone, I piled them into a tall pile."

BNV : এই কথা বলে চোযালের হাড়টা শিম্শোন ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দিল| সেই জায়গার নাম রামত্‌ লিহী|
KJV : And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramath-lehi.
YLT : And it cometh to pass when he finisheth speaking, that he casteth away the jaw-bone out of his hand, and calleth that place Ramath-Lehi;
RV : And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand; and that place was called Ramath-lehi.
RSV : When he had finished speaking, he threw away the jawbone out of his hand; and that place was called Ramathlehi.
ASV : And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand; and that place was called Ramath-lehi.
ESV : As soon as he had finished speaking, he threw away the jawbone out of his hand. And that place was called Ramath-lehi.
ERVEN : When Samson finished speaking, he threw the jawbone down. So that place was named Ramath Lehi.

BNV : শিম্শোনের খুব পিপাসা পেয়েছিল| প্রভুর কাছে সে প্রার্থনা করল| সে বলল, “হে প্রভু আমি তোমার দাস| এই যে আমার বিরাট জয় হল, সে তো তোমারই দয়ায়| পিপাসায যেন আমি মারা না যাই| তাই এখন দয়া করো তুমি| দয়া করো যেন ওরা আমায় ধরে না ফেলে, যাদের এখনও সুন্নত্‌ পর্য়ন্ত হয় নি|”
KJV : And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?
YLT : and he thirsteth exceedingly, and calleth unto Jehovah, and saith, `Thou -- Thou hast given by the hand of Thy servant this great salvation; and now, I die with thirst, and have fallen into the hand of the uncircumcised.`
RV : And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance by the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised.
RSV : And he was very thirsty, and he called on the LORD and said, "Thou hast granted this great deliverance by the hand of thy servant; and shall I now die of thirst, and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?"
ASV : And he was sore athirst, and called on Jehovah, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance by the hand of thy servant; and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised.
ESV : And he was very thirsty, and he called upon the LORD and said, "You have granted this great salvation by the hand of your servant, and shall I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?"
ERVEN : Samson was very thirsty. So he cried to the Lord. He said, "I am your servant. You gave me this great victory. Please don't let me die from thirst now. Please don't let me be captured by men who are not even circumcised."

BNV : লিহীর মাঠে একটা গর্ত আছে| ঈশ্বর সেই গর্ত ফাটিযে ঝর্ণা তৈরী করলেন| সেই জল পান করে শিম্শোন তাজা হয়ে উঠল| সে আবার শক্তি অনুভব করল| সে সেই ঝর্ণার নাম দিল এন-হক্কোরী| লিহী শহরে এই ঝর্ণা আজও আছে|
KJV : But God clave an hollow place that [was] in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof En-hakkore, which [is] in Lehi unto this day.

ERVEN : There is a hole in the ground at Lehi. God made that hole crack open, and water came out. Samson drank the water and felt better. He felt strong again. So he named that water spring En Hakkore. It is still there in the city of Lehi today.
