MRV : “ईयोब, जर तू खरोखरच शहाणा असशील तर तू पोकळ शब्दांनी उत्तर देणार नाहीस. शहाणा माणूस गरम हवेने इतका भरलेला नसतो.
KJV : Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
YLT : Doth a wise man answer [with] vain knowledge? And fill [with] an east wind his belly?
RV : Should a wise man make answer with vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
RSV : "Should a wise man answer with windy knowledge, and fill himself with the east wind?
ASV : Should a wise man make answer with vain knowledge, And fill himself with the east wind?

ERVEN : "If you were really wise, you would not answer with your worthless personal opinions! A wise man would not be so full of hot air.

MRV : विद्वान निरुपयोगी शब्दांनी आणि निरर्थक बोलण्याने वाद घालत बसेल असे तुला वाटते का?
KJV : Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
YLT : To reason with a word not useful? And speeches -- no profit in them?
RV : Should he reason with unprofitable talk, or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
RSV : Should he argue in unprofitable talk, or in words with which he can do no good?

ERVEN : Do you think a wise man would use empty words and meaningless speeches to win his arguments?

MRV : ईयोब तुला जर तुझ्या मनाप्रमाणे वागू दिले तर कोणीही माणूस देवाला मान देणार नाही आणि त्याची प्रार्थना करणार नाही.
KJV : Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.
YLT : Yea, thou dost make reverence void, And dost diminish meditation before God.
RV : Yea, thou doest away with fear, and restrainest devotion before God.
RSV : But you are doing away with the fear of God, and hindering meditation before God.

MRV : तुझ्या बोलण्यावरुन तुझे पाप चांगले कळते. ईयोब तू हुशारीने बोलून तुझे पाप लपवायचा प्रयत्न करीत आहेस.
KJV : For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
YLT : For thy mouth teacheth thine iniquity, And thou chooseth the tongue of the subtile.
RV : For thine iniquity teacheth thy mouth, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
RSV : For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the tongue of the crafty.

ERVEN : What you say clearly shows your sin. Job, you are trying to hide your sin by using clever words.

MRV : तू चुकत आहेस हे सिध्द करण्याची मला आवश्यकता वाटत नाही. का? कारण तू तुझ्या तोंडाने जे बोलतोस ते तू चुकात असल्याचे सिध्द करतात. तुझे स्वत:चेच ओठ तुझ्याविरुध्द बोलतात.
KJV : Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
YLT : Thy mouth declareth thee wicked, and not I, And thy lips testify against thee.

ERVEN : I don't need to prove to you that you are wrong. The words from your own mouth show that you are wrong. Your own lips speak against you.

MRV : “ईयोब, जन्माला येणारा तू पहिलाच माणूस आहेस असे तुला वाटते का? टेकड्या निर्माण व्हायच्या आधीच तू जन्मलास का?
KJV : [Art] thou the first man [that] was born? or wast thou made before the hills?
YLT : The first man art thou born? And before the heights wast thou formed?
RV : Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou brought forth before the hills?
RSV : "Are you the first man that was born? Or were you brought forth before the hills?

MRV : तू देवाच्या गुप्त मसलती ऐकल्यास का? केवळ तूच एक शहाणा माणूस आहेस असे तुला वाटते का?
KJV : Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
YLT : Of the secret counsel of God dost thou hear? And withdrawest thou unto thee wisdom?
RV : Hast thou heard the secret counsel of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
RSV : Have you listened in the council of God? And do you limit wisdom to yourself?

ERVEN : Did you listen to God's secret plans? Do you think you are the only wise person?

MRV : ईयोब, तुझ्यापेक्षा आम्हाला जास्त माहिती आहे. तुला न कळणाऱ्या गोष्टी आम्हाला समजतात.
KJV : What knowest thou, that we know not? [what] understandest thou, which [is] not in us?
YLT : What hast thou known, and we know not? Understandest thou -- and it is not with us?
RV : What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?
RSV : What do you know that we do not know? What do you understand that is not clear to us?

ERVEN : We know as much as you do! We understand as well as you.

MRV : केस पांढरे झालेले लोक आणि वृध्द आमच्याशी सहमत आहेत. होय, तुझ्या वडिलांपेक्षा वृध्द असलेले लोक आमच्या बाजूला आहेत.
KJV : With us [are] both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.
YLT : Both the gray-headed And the very aged [are] among us -- Greater than thy father [in] days.

MRV : देव तुझे सांत्वन करतो पण ते तुला पुरेसे वाटत नाही. देवाचा निरोप आम्ही तुला अगदी हळुवारपणे दिला आहे.
KJV : [Are] the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?
YLT : Too few for thee are the comforts of God? And a gentle word [is] with thee,
RV : Are the consolations of God too small for thee, and the word {cf15i that dealeth} gently with thee?
RSV : Are the consolations of God too small for you, or the word that deals gently with you?
ASV : Are the consolations of God too small for thee, Even the word that is gentle toward thee?
ESV : Are the comforts of God too small for you, or the word that deals gently with you?
ERVEN : God tries to comfort you, but that is not enough for you. We have spoken his message to you in a gentle way.

MRV : ईयोब, तू का समजून घेत नाहीस? तू सत्य का पाहात नाहीस?
KJV : Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,
YLT : What -- doth thine heart take thee away? And what -- are thine eyes high?

MRV : तू हे रागाचे शब्द उच्चारतोस तेव्हा तू देवाच्या विरुध्द जातोस.
KJV : That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest [such] words go out of thy mouth?
YLT : For thou turnest against God thy spirit? And hast brought out words from thy mouth:
RV : That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest {cf15i such} words go out of thy mouth.
RSV : that you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?
ASV : That against God thou turnest thy spirit, And lettest words go out of thy mouth?
ESV : that you turn your spirit against God and bring such words out of your mouth?
ERVEN : You are expressing your anger against God when you say these things.

MRV : “मनुष्य कधीही निष्कलंक असू शकत नाही. मनुष्यप्राणी देवापेक्षा अधिक बरोबर असू शकत नाही.
KJV : What [is] man, that he should be clean? and [he which is] born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
YLT : What [is] man that he is pure, And that he is righteous, one born of woman?
RV : What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

ERVEN : "People cannot really be pure. They cannot be more right than God!

MRV : देव त्याच्या पवित्र दूतांवर विश्र्वास ठेवत नाही. देवाशी तुलना करता स्वर्गसुध्दा निर्मळ नाही.
KJV : Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

ERVEN : God does not even trust his angels. He does not even think the sky is pure.

MRV : मनुष्याप्राणी सर्वांत वाईट आहे, तो अशुध्द आणि कुजलेला आहे. तो वाईट गोष्टी पाण्यासारख्या पितो.
KJV : How much more abominable and filthy [is] man, which drinketh iniquity like water?
YLT : Also -- surely abominable and filthy Is man drinking as water perverseness.

MRV : “ईयोब, तू माझे ऐक मी तुला नीट सांगतो. मला जे माहीत आहे ते मी तुला सांगतो.
KJV : I will shew thee, hear me; and that [which] I have seen I will declare;
YLT : I shew thee -- hearken to me -- And this I have seen and declare:

MRV : विद्वानांनी ज्या गोष्टी मला सांगीतल्या, त्या मी तुला सांगतो. विद्वानांच्या पूर्वजांनी त्यांना या गोष्टी सांगीतल्या. त्यांनी माझ्यापासून कुठलीही गुप्त गोष्ट लपवून ठेवली नाही.
KJV : Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid [it: ]
YLT : Which the wise declare -- And have not hid -- from their fathers.

ERVEN : I will tell you what wise men would say, things they heard from their fathers and then freely passed on. They didn't hide any secrets from me.

KJV : The wicked man travaileth with pain all [his] days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.
YLT : `All days of the wicked he is paining himself, And few years have been laid up for the terrible one.

MRV : दुष्ट माणूस निराश झालेला असतो. व त्याला अंधारातून सुटका होण्याची आशा नसते. त्याला मारण्यासाठी तलवार टपून बसलेली असते.

ERVEN : An evil man has no hope of escaping the darkness. There is a sword somewhere waiting to kill him.

MRV : तो इकडे तिकडे भटकत राहातो परंतु त्याचे शरीर गिधाडांचे अन्न असते. आपला मृत्यू अगदी जवळ आला आहे हे त्याला माहीत असते.
KJV : He wandereth abroad for bread, [saying,] Where [is it?] he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
YLT : He is wandering for bread -- `Where [is] it?` He hath known that ready at his hand Is a day of darkness.

MRV : त्याला काळजी आणि यातना भयभीत करतात. एखाद्या राजाप्रमाणे त्याला नष्ट करण्यासाठी त्या त्याच्यावर हल्ला करतात.

MRV : का? कारण दुष्ट मनुष्य देवाची आज्ञा मानायला तयार नसतो. तो त्याच्या मुठी देवासमोर नाचवतो. तो सर्वशक्तिमान देवाचा पराभव करायचा प्रयत्न करतो.
KJV : For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.
YLT : For he stretched out against God his hand, And against the Mighty he maketh himself mighty.
RV : Because he hath stretched out his hand against God, and behaveth himself proudly against the Almighty;
RSV : Because he has stretched forth his hand against God, and bids defiance to the Almighty,

ERVEN : That is because that evil man shook his fist at God, refusing to obey. He dared to attack God All-Powerful,

MRV : दुष्ट माणूस अतिशय हट्टी असतो. तो जाड आणि मजबूत ढालीने देवावर हल्ला करतो.
KJV : He runneth upon him, [even] on [his] neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:
YLT : He runneth unto Him with a neck, With thick bosses of his shields.
RV : He runneth upon him with a {cf15i stiff} neck, with the thick bosses of his bucklers:
RSV : running stubbornly against him with a thick-bossed shield;

MRV : “माणूस श्रीमंत आणि धष्टपुष्ट असू शकतो.
KJV : Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on [his] flanks.
YLT : For he hath covered his face with his fat, And maketh vigour over [his] confidence.
RV : Because he hath covered his face with his fatness, and made collops of fat on his flanks;
RSV : because he has covered his face with his fat, and gathered fat upon his loins,
ASV : Because he hath covered his face with his fatness, And gathered fat upon his loins;

ERVEN : He might be rich and fat,

MRV : पण त्याचे शहर धुळीला मिळेल. त्याच्या घराचा नाश होईल. त्याचे घर रिकामे होईल.
KJV : And he dwelleth in desolate cities, [and] in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.
YLT : And he inhabiteth cities cut off, houses not dwelt in, That have been ready to become heaps.

ERVEN : but his town will be ruined; his home will be destroyed; his house will be empty.

MRV : दुष्ट माणूस फार दिवस श्रीमंत राहू शकत नाही. त्याची संपत्ती खूप दिवस टिकत नाही. त्याची पिके जास्त वाढत नाहीत.
KJV : He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.
YLT : He is not rich, nor doth his wealth rise, Nor doth he stretch out on earth their continuance.
RV : He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall their produce bend to the earth.

MRV : दुष्ट माणसाची काळोखापासून सुटका नसते. तो त्या झाडासारखा असतो ज्याची पाने रोगामुळे मरतात आणि वारा त्यांना दूर उडवून नेतो.
KJV : He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
YLT : He turneth not aside from darkness, His tender branch doth a flame dry up, And he turneth aside at the breath of His mouth!

ERVEN : He will not escape the darkness. He will be like a tree whose leaves die from disease and are blown away by the wind.

MRV : निरुपयोगी गोष्टींवर विश्वास ठेवून दुष्ट माणसाने स्वत:चीच फसवणूक करुन घेऊ नये, का? कारण त्याला त्यातून काहीही मिळणार नाही.
KJV : Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.
YLT : Let him not put credence in vanity, He hath been deceived, For vanity is his recompence.
RV : Let him not trust in vanity, deceiving himself: for vanity shall be his recompence.
RSV : Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself; for emptiness will be his recompense.

ERVEN : That evil man should not fool himself by trusting in worthless things, because he will keep nothing.

MRV : आयुष्य संपायच्या आधीच दुष्ट माणूस म्हातारा आणि शुष्क झालेला असेल. तो पुन्हा कधीही हिरव्या न होणाऱ्या फंादीसारखा असेल.
KJV : It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.
YLT : Not in his day is it completed, And his bending branch is not green.

KJV : He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.
