BNV : বিন্যামীনের লোক, প্রাণে বাঁচতে চাইলে জেরুশালেম শহর ছেড়ে চলে যাও| তকোয শহরে যুদ্ধের দামামা বাজিযে দাও| সতর্কতা সূচক পতাকা ওড়াও বৈত্‌-হক্কেরম শহরে| কারণ উত্তর দিক থেকে অমঙ্গল ও ধ্বংস আসছে| ভয়ঙ্কর এক ধ্বংসলীলা তোমাদের জন্য অপেক্ষা করে আছে|
KJV : O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
YLT : Strengthen yourselves, sons of Benjamin, From the midst of Jerusalem, And in Tekoa blow ye a trumpet, And over Beth-Haccerem lift ye up a flame, For evil hath been seen from the north, And great destruction.
RV : Flee for safety, ye children of Benjamin, out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and raise up a signal on Beth-haccherem: for evil looketh forth from the north, and a great destruction.
RSV : Flee for safety, O people of Benjamin, from the midst of Jerusalem! Blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and raise a signal on Bethhaccherem; for evil looms out of the north, and great destruction.

ESV : Flee for safety, O people of Benjamin, from the midst of Jerusalem! Blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and raise a signal on Beth-haccherem, for disaster looms out of the north, and great destruction.
ERVEN : "Run for your lives, people of Benjamin! Run away from the city of Jerusalem! Blow the war trumpet in the city of Tekoa! Put up the warning flag in the city of Beth Hakkerem! Do these things because disaster is coming from the north. Terrible destruction is coming to you.

BNV : সিয়োন কুমারী, তুমি হলে সুন্দরী এবং কোমলা|
KJV : I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate [woman. ]
YLT : The comely and the delicate one I have cut off, The daughter of Zion.
RV : The comely and delicate one, the daughter of Zion, will I cut off.
RSV : The comely and delicately bred I will destroy, the daughter of Zion.

ERVEN : Daughter Zion, you are like a beautiful meadow.

BNV : মেষপালকরা তাদের মেষপাল নিয়ে জেরুশালেমে এলো| তারা সেই তৃণভূমির চারিদিকে তাঁবু গাড়লো| প্রত্যেক মেষপালক তার নিজের মেষপালকে দেখাশোনা করবে|
KJV : The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch [their] tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.
YLT : Unto her come do shepherds and their droves, They have stricken tents by her round about, They have fed each [in] his own station.

ERVEN : Shepherds come to Jerusalem, and they bring their flocks. They set up their tents all around her. Each shepherd takes care of his own flock.

BNV : “জেরুশালেমকে আক্রমণ করার জন্য তৈরী হও| উঠে পড়ো| আজ দুপুরেই আমরা এই শহরকে আক্রমণ করবো| কিন্তু ইতিমধ্যেই খানিকটা দেরি হয়ে গিয়েছে| সন্ধ্যার অন্ধকার ঘনিয়ে আসছে|
KJV : Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
YLT : Sanctify ye against her the battle, Rise, and we go up at noon. Wo to us, for turned hath the day, For stretched out are the shades of evening,
RV : Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day declineth, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.
RSV : "Prepare war against her; up, and let us attack at noon!" "Woe to us, for the day declines, for the shadows of evening lengthen!"

ERVEN : "Get ready to fight against Jerusalem. Get up! We will attack the city at noon. But it is already getting late. The evening shadows are growing long.

BNV : সুতরাং আজ রাতেই এই শহরের ওপর ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ার জন্যে প্রস্তুত হও! জেরুশালেমের দুর্ভেদ্য প্রাচীর ভেঙ্গে গুঁড়িযে দাও|”
KJV : Arise, and let us go by night, and let us destroy her palaces.
YLT : `Rise, and we go up by night, And we destroy her palaces.`
RV : Arise, and let us go up by night, and let us destroy her palaces.
RSV : "Up, and let us attack by night, and destroy her palaces!"

ERVEN : So get up! We will attack the city at night! Let's destroy the strong walls that are around Jerusalem."

BNV : প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান এই কথাগুলি বললেন: “জেরুশালেমের চারপাশের সমস্ত গাছ কেটে ফেলো| পাথর আর মাটি দিয়ে এমন স্তূপ তৈরী করো যার সাহায্যে এ শহরের প্রাচীর অতি সহজেই অতিএম করতে পারবে| এই শহরে শোষণ ছাড়া আর কিছু নেই| তাই এই শহরকে শাস্তি পেতে হবে|
KJV : For thus hath the LORD of hosts said, Hew ye down trees, and cast a mount against Jerusalem: this [is] the city to be visited; she [is] wholly oppression in the midst of her.
YLT : For thus said Jehovah of Hosts: Cut down her wood, And pour out against Jerusalem a mount, She [is] the city to be inspected, Wholly -- she is oppression in her midst.

ERVEN : This is what the Lord All-Powerful says: "Cut down the trees around Jerusalem, and build a siege mound against it. This city should be punished. Inside this city is nothing but oppression.

BNV : একটি কুযো য়েমভাবে জলকে তাজা রাখে, ঠিক তেমন ভাবেই জেরুশালেম তার পাপপূর্ণ কর্মগুলিকে তাজা করে রেখেছে| আমি এই শহরের লুঠতরাজ ও হিংসার ঘটনার কথা সব সময় শুনে এসেছি| এদের যন্ত্রণা আর অসুস্থতা দেখেছি|
KJV : As a fountain casteth out her waters, so she casteth out her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is grief and wounds.
YLT : As the digging of a well, is [for] its waters, So she hath digged [for] her wickedness, Violence and spoil is heard in her, Before My face continually [are] sickness and smiting.
RV : As a well casteth forth her waters, so she casteth forth her wickedness: violence and spoil is heard in her; before me continually is sickness and wounds.
RSV : As a well keeps its water fresh, so she keeps fresh her wickedness; violence and destruction are heard within her; sickness and wounds are ever before me.

ERVEN : As a well keeps its water fresh, so Jerusalem keeps its wickedness fresh. I hear about the robbing and violence in this city all the time. I see the pain and sickness in Jerusalem all the time.

BNV : জেরুশালেম এবার সতর্ক হও| যদি তোমরা এখনও সাবধান না হও তাহলে আমি তোমাদের দিক থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেব| তোমাদের দেশকে মরুভূমিতে পরিণত করব| কোন মানুষই আর ওখানে বাস করতে পারবে না|”
KJV : Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.
YLT : Be instructed, O Jerusalem, Lest My soul be alienated from thee, Lest I make thee a desolation, a land not inhabited.
RV : Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul be alienated from thee; lest I make thee a desolation, a land not inhabited.
RSV : Be warned, O Jerusalem, lest I be alienated from you; lest I make you a desolation, an uninhabited land."

ERVEN : Listen to this warning, Jerusalem, or I will turn my back on you. I will make your land an empty desert. No one will be able to live there."

BNV : সর্বশক্তিমান প্রভু আরও বললেন: “য়ে সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়রা এখনও তাদের দেশে পড়ে আছে তাদের একত্রিত করো| য়ে ভাবে তোমরা দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতের শেষ দ্রাক্ষাগুলিকে এক একটি করে তুলে নিয়ে একত্রিত করো ঠিক সে ভাবে তাদের একত্রিত করো| য়েমন ভাবে দ্রাক্ষা চযন করবার সময় এক জন শ্রমিক প্রতিটি দ্রাক্ষালতা পুঙ্খানুপুঙ্খরূপে দেখে ঠিক সে ভাবে ইস্রায়েলীয়দের খুঁজে বের করো|”
KJV : Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly glean the remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.
YLT : Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: They surely glean, as a vine, the remnant of Israel, Put back thy hand, as a gatherer to the baskets.

ERVEN : This is what the Lord All-Powerful says: "Gather the people of Israel who were left on their land. Gather them the way you would gather the last grapes on a grapevine. Check each vine, like the workers check each vine when they pick the grapes."

BNV : আমি কাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলব? আমি কাদের সতর্ক করব? কারাই বা আমার কথা শুনবে? ইস্রায়েলীয়রা আমার সতর্কবাণী শুনতে পাচ্ছে না কারণ তাদের কান বন্ধ| তারা প্রভুর কথা শুনতে অনিচ্ছুক| তারা তাঁর বার্তা শুনতে পছন্দ করে না|
KJV : To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear [is] uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
YLT : To whom do I speak, and testify, and they hear? Lo, their ear [is] uncircumcised, And they are not able to attend. Lo, a word of Jehovah hath been to them for a reproach, They delight not in it.
RV : To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is become unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
RSV : To whom shall I speak and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed, they cannot listen; behold, the word of the LORD is to them an object of scorn, they take no pleasure in it.
ASV : To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of Jehovah is become unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
ESV : To whom shall I speak and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ears are uncircumcised, they cannot listen; behold, the word of the LORD is to them an object of scorn; they take no pleasure in it.
ERVEN : Who can I speak to? Who can I warn? Who will listen to me? The people of Israel have closed their ears, so they cannot hear my warnings. They don't like the Lord's teachings. They don't want to hear his message.

BNV : কিন্তু আমি (যিরমিয়) প্রভুর রোধ বহন করতে করতে ক্লান্ত| “য়ে সমস্ত শিশুরা রাস্তায় খেলা করছে তাদের ওপর বর্ষিত হোক প্রভুর এই রোধ| যুবকদের সমাবেশের ওপরেও বর্ষিত হোক এই এোধ| একটি লোক ও তার স্ত্রী, দুজনকেই গ্রেপ্তার করা হবে| সমস্ত প্রাচীন লোকদের গ্রেপ্তার করা হবে|
KJV : Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with [him that is] full of days.
YLT : And with the fury of Jehovah I have been filled, (I have been weary of containing,) To pour [it] on the suckling in the street, And on the assembly of youths together, For even husband with wife are captured, An elder with one full of days,
RV : Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in: pour it out upon the children in the street, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.
RSV : Therefore I am full of the wrath of the LORD; I am weary of holding it in. "Pour it out upon the children in the street, and upon the gatherings of young men, also; both husband and wife shall be taken, the old folk and the very aged.
ASV : Therefore I am full of the wrath of Jehovah; I am weary with holding in: pour it out upon the children in the street, and upon the assembly of young men together; for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.
ESV : Therefore I am full of the wrath of the LORD; I am weary of holding it in. "Pour it out upon the children in the street, and upon the gatherings of young men, also; both husband and wife shall be taken, the elderly and the very aged.
ERVEN : But I am full of the Lord's anger, and I am tired of holding it in! "Pour out the Lord's anger on the children playing in the streets and on the young soldiers gathered there as well. A man and his wife will both be captured as well as all the old people.

BNV : তাদের ঘর-বাড়ি, জমি-জমা এমন কি তাদের স্ত্রীদের পর্য়ন্ত বিলিযে দেওয়া হোক অন্য লোকদের কাছে| আমি আমার হাত তুলে নেব এবং যিহূদার লোকদের শাস্তি দেব|” এই ছিল প্রভুর বার্তা|
KJV : And their houses shall be turned unto others, [with their] fields and wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.
YLT : And their houses have been turned to others, Fields and wives together, For I stretch out My hand against the inhabitants of the land, An affirmation of Jehovah.
RV : And their houses shall be turned unto others, their fields and their wives together: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.
RSV : Their houses shall be turned over to others, their fields and wives together; for I will stretch out my hand against the inhabitants of the land," says the LORD.
ASV : And their houses shall be turned unto others, their fields and their wives together; for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith Jehovah.
ESV : Their houses shall be turned over to others, their fields and wives together, for I will stretch out my hand against the inhabitants of the land," declares the LORD.
ERVEN : Their houses will be given to others. Their fields and their wives will be given to other people. I will raise my hand and punish the people of Judah." This message is from the Lord.

BNV : “ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত লোক অবৈধ উপায়ে আরো বেশী বেশী পয়সা চায়| সব চেয়ে নিথথেকে সব চেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মানুষ, তারা সবাই ঐরকম লোভী| ভাব্বাদী থেকে যাজক প্রত্যেকে শুধু মিথ্যাচার করে গিয়েছে|
KJV : For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one [is] given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
YLT : For from their least unto their greatest, Every one is gaining dishonest gain, And from prophet even unto priest, Every one is dealing falsely,
RV : For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
RSV : "For from the least to the greatest of them, every one is greedy for unjust gain; and from prophet to priest, every one deals falsely.

ESV : "For from the least to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for unjust gain; and from prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely.
ERVEN : "All the people of Israel want more and more money. All of them, from the least important to the most important, are like that. Even the prophets and priests tell lies.

BNV : আমার লোকেরা কঠিন আঘাত পেয়েছে| ভাব্বাদী এবং যাজকদের উচিত্‌ ছিল তাদের সেই আঘাতের ক্ষতে মলম লাগিয়ে দেওয়া| কিন্তু তারা এই ক্ষতকে কোন গুরুত্ব দেয়নি| তারা এই ক্ষতটিকে একটি ছোট আচঁড় বলে গণ্য করেছে| ভাব্বাদীরা এবং যাজকরা বলে: ‘সব কিছু ঠিক আছে|’ কিন্তু প্রকৃত পক্ষে, সব ঠিক নেই|
KJV : They have healed also the hurt [of the daughter] of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when [there is] no peace.
YLT : And they heal the breach of the daughter of my people slightly, Saying, `Peace, peace!` and there is no peace.
RV : They have healed also the hurt of my people lightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
RSV : They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying, `Peace, peace,' when there is no peace.
ASV : They have healed also the hurt of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.

ERVEN : They should bandage the deep wounds my people have suffered, but they treat their wounds like small scratches. They say, 'It's all right, everything is all right.' But it is not all right!

BNV : যাজক এবং ভাব্বাদীদের তাদের কৃতকার্য়ের জন্য লজ্জিত হওয়া উচিত্‌| কিন্তু তারা বিন্দুমাত্র লজ্জিত নয়| তারা জানে না পাপের জন্য তাদের কতখানি বিব্রত হওয়া উচিত্‌| তাই তারা অন্যদের সাথে একই শাস্তি পাবে| যখন অন্যদের শাস্তি দেব, তখন তাদেরও মাটিতে আছড়ে ফেলা হবে|” প্রভু এই কথাগুলি বললেন|
KJV : Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time [that] I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
YLT : They were ashamed when they did abomination! Yea, they are not at all ashamed, Yea, blushing they have not known, Therefore they do fall among those falling, In the time I have inspected them, They stumble, said Jehovah.
RV : Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
RSV : Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them, they shall be overthrown," says the LORD.

ESV : Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I punish them, they shall be overthrown," says the LORD.
ERVEN : They should be ashamed of the evil things they do, but they are not ashamed at all. They don't know enough to be embarrassed by their sins. So they will be punished with everyone else. They will be thrown to the ground when I punish the people." This is what the Lord said.

BNV : পাশাপাশি প্রভু জানালেন: “রাস্তার মোড়ে দাঁড়িয়ে তাকাও| জিজ্ঞাসা করো কোনটা পুরানো রাস্তা আর কোনটা নতুন| সেই রাস্তায় পা বাড়াও য়ে রাস্তা ভাল| ভালো রাস্তায় হাঁটলে নিজের জন্য শান্তি খুঁজে পাবে| কিন্তু তোমরা বলেছিলে, ‘আমরা ভালো রাস্তায় হাঁটব না|’
KJV : Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [therein. ]
YLT : Thus said Jehovah: Stand ye by the ways and see, and ask for paths of old, Where [is] this -- the good way? and go ye in it, And find rest for yourselves. And they say, `We do not go.`
RV : Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk {cf15i therein}.
RSV : Thus says the LORD: "Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, `We will not walk in it.'
ASV : Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk therein.
ESV : Thus says the LORD: "Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'
ERVEN : This is what the Lord says: "Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask where the old road is. Ask where the good road is, and walk on that road. If you do, you will find rest for yourselves. But you people have said, 'We will not walk on the good road.'

BNV : আমি তোমাদের ওপর নজরদারি করার জন্য এক জনকে বেছে নিয়েছি| আমি তাদের বলেছিলাম, ‘যুদ্ধের দামামা শোন|’ কিন্তু তারা বলেছিল, ‘আমরা শুনব না!’
KJV : Also I set watchmen over you, [saying,] Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
YLT : And I have raised up for you watchmen, Attend ye to the voice of the trumpet. And they say, `We do not attend.`
RV : And I set watchmen over you, {cf15i saying}, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, We will not hearken.
RSV : I set watchmen over you, saying, `Give heed to the sound of the trumpet!' But they said, `We will not give heed.'
ASV : And I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, We will not hearken.
ESV : I set watchmen over you, saying, 'Pay attention to the sound of the trumpet!' But they said, 'We will not pay attention.'
ERVEN : I chose watchmen to watch over you. I told them, 'Listen for the sound of the war trumpet.' But they said, 'We will not listen!'

BNV : সুতরাং সমস্ত দেশগুলি শোন, এই দেশগুলির লোকরা তোমরা মন দিয়ে শোন|
KJV : Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what [is] among them.
