BNV : “চুক্তির ভাষা শোন যিরমিয়| তুমি যা শুনবে তা যিহূদার লোকেদের বলবে| জেরুশালেম বাসীদেরও বলবে|
KJV : Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
YLT : `Hear ye the words of this covenant, and ye have spoken unto the men of Judah, and unto the inhabitants of Jerusalem,

KJV : And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed [be] the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,

ERVEN : Tell them this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: 'Bad things will happen to anyone who does not obey this agreement.

BNV : তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের সঙ্গে আমি য়ে চুক্তি করেছিলাম তার সম্বন্ধে বলছি| মিশর থেকে যখন তাদের আমি নিয়ে এসেছিলাম তখনই এই চুক্তি করেছিলাম| মিশরের প্রচুর সমস্যা ছিল লোহা গলানো গরম ছিল সেখানে| আমি ওদের বলেছিলাম, আমাকে মেনে চলো এবং আমার আদেশমতো কাজ করো| যদি তা করো তাহলে তোমরা হবে আমার লোক| আমি হব তোমাদের ঈশ্বর|
KJV : Which I commanded your fathers in the day [that] I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
YLT : That I commanded your fathers, In the day of My bringing them out from the land of Egypt, Out of the iron furnace, saying, Hearken to My voice, and ye have done them, According to all that I command you, And ye have been to Me for a people, And I am to you for God,

ERVEN : I am talking about the agreement I made with your ancestors when I brought them out of that furnace called Egypt.' At that time I told them, 'Listen to me and obey all the commands I give you. Then you will be my people, and I will be your God.'

BNV : “আমি তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের কাছে য়ে প্রতিশ্রুতি করেছিলাম তা বজায় রাখতে এটা করেছিলাম| আমি কথা দিয়েছিলাম য়ে, তাদের এমন উর্বর জমি দেব যা থেকে দুধ আর মধু সংগৃহীত হবে| এবং তোমরা এখন সেই দেশেই বাস করছো|”আমি (যিরমিয়) উত্তরে জানালাম, “আমেন, প্রভু|”
KJV : That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as [it is] this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.
YLT : In order to establish the oath that I have sworn to your fathers, To give to them a land flowing with milk and honey, as this day. And I answer and say, `Amen, O Jehovah.`
RV : that I may establish the oath which I sware unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day. Then answered I, and said, Amen, O LORD.
RSV : that I may perform the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day." Then I answered, "So be it, LORD."

ESV : that I may confirm the oath that I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as at this day." Then I answered, "So be it, LORD."
ERVEN : "I did this to keep the promise I had made to your ancestors. I promised to give them a very fertile land—a land flowing with milk and honey. And you are living in that country today." I answered, "Amen, Lord."

BNV : প্রভু আমাকে বললেন, “যিরমিয়, এই বার্তা তুমি যিহূদার শহরগুলিতে এবং জেরুশালেমের রাস্তাগুলিতে ধর্মোপদেশ দ্বারা প্রচার করো| এই হল বার্তা: চুক্তির বযান শোন এবং বিধিগুলিকে মান্য করো|
KJV : Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.

ERVEN : The Lord said to me, "Jeremiah, tell this message in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. This is the message: 'Listen to the words of this agreement, and then obey these laws.

BNV : আমি তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের মিশর থেকে নিয়ে আসার সময় সতর্কবাণী দিয়েছিলাম| সেই দিন থেকে আজ পর্য়ন্ত বারে বারে আমি তাদের সতর্ক করে এসেছি| আমি তাদের আমাকে মেনে চলার কথা বলেছিলাম|
KJV : For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day [that] I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, [even] unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.

BNV : কিন্তু তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষ আমার কথা শোনেনি| তারা ছিল একঁগুযে, জেদী| তারা তাদের দুষ্ট অন্তরে যা ভাবত তাই করত| চুক্তিতে বলা হয়েছে য়ে যদি তারা ঈশ্বরকে অমান্য করে তাহলে তাদের অমঙ্গল হবে| আমি তাদের আদেশ দিয়েছিলাম এই বন্দোবস্ত মানতে| কিন্তু তারা তা মানেনি| তাই আমি তাদের অমঙ্গল ঘটাবো|”
KJV : Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded [them] to do; but they did [them] not.
YLT : And they have not hearkened nor inclined their ear, And they walk each in the stubbornness of their evil heart, And I bring on them all the words of this covenant, That I commanded to do, and they did not.`

ERVEN : But your ancestors did not listen to me. They were stubborn and did what their own evil hearts wanted. The agreement says that bad things will happen to them if they don't obey. So I made all the bad things happen to them. I commanded them to obey the agreement, but they did not.'"

BNV : প্রভু আমাকে বললেন, “যিরমিয়, আমি জানি যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেমের লোকরা গোপন ছক কষেছে|
KJV : And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
YLT : And Jehovah saith unto me: `A conspiracy is found in the men of Judah, And in the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
RV : And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
RSV : Again the LORD said to me, "There is revolt among the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

ESV : Again the LORD said to me, "A conspiracy exists among the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
ERVEN : The Lord said to me, "Jeremiah, I know that the people of Judah and the people living in Jerusalem have made secret plans.

KJV : They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
YLT : They have turned back to the iniquities of their first fathers, Who refused to hear My words, And they have gone after other gods to serve them, The house of Israel, and the house of Judah, Have made void My covenant, that I made with their fathers.

ERVEN : They are committing the same sins that their ancestors did. Their ancestors refused to listen to my message. They followed and worshiped other gods. The family of Israel and the family of Judah have broken the agreement I made with their ancestors."

BNV : তাই প্রভু বললেন, “আমি খুব শীঘ্রই যিহূদার লোকদের ভয়ঙ্কর অনিষ্ট করব| তারা পালাতে পারবে না| তারা অনুতপ্ত হবে এবং তারা আমার কাছে এসে চিত্কার করে সাহায্য চাইবে| কিন্তু আমি তাদের কথা কানেই তুলব না|
KJV : Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
YLT : Therefore thus said Jehovah: Lo, I am bringing in unto them evil, That they are not able to go out from, And they have cried unto Me, And I do not hearken unto them.
RV : Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and they shall cry unto me, but I will not hearken unto them.

ERVEN : So this is what the Lord says: "I will soon make something terrible happen to the people of Judah. They will not be able to escape. They will be sorry and cry to me for help, but I will not listen to them.

BNV : যিহূদা ও জেরুশালেম শহরের লোকরা তখন সাহায্যের প্রার্থনায ছুটে যাবে তাদের মূর্ত্তিদের কাছে| ঐ লোকরা মূর্ত্তিদের সামনে ধুপধূনো জ্বালাবে| কিন্তু সেই ভয়ঙ্কর সময় যখন আসবে তখন মূর্ত্তিরা যিহূদার লোকদের কোন সাহায্যই করতে পারবে না|
KJV : Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
YLT : And the cities of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem have gone, And they have cried unto the gods, To whom they are making perfume, And they give no deliverance at all to them, In the time of their vexation.
RV : Then shall the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem go and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
RSV : Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to whom they burn incense, but they cannot save them in the time of their trouble.

ESV : Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to whom they make offerings, but they cannot save them in the time of their trouble.
ERVEN : The people in the towns of Judah and in the city of Jerusalem will go and pray to their idols for help. They burn incense to those idols. But their idols will not be able to help the people of Judah when that terrible disaster comes.

BNV : যিহূদার লোকরা, তোমাদের অসংখ্য মূর্ত্তি আছে| যিহূদার যত শহর আছে ততগুলি সংখ্যক মূর্ত্তি আছে| তোমরা ঐ বিরক্তিকর মূর্ত্তি ‘বাল’ এর জন্য বহু বেদী তৈরী করেছিলে| জেরুশালেমে যতগুলি সংখ্যক রাস্তা আছে ততগুলি বেদী তৈরী করেছিলে|
KJV : For [according to] the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and [according to] the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to [that] shameful thing, [even] altars to burn incense unto Baal.
YLT : For -- the number of thy cities have been thy gods, O Judah, And -- the number of the streets of Jerusalem Ye have placed altars to a shameful thing, Altars to make perfume to Baal.
RV : For according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to the shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.

ERVEN : "People of Judah, you have many idols—there are as many idols as there are towns in Judah. You have built many altars for worshiping that disgusting god Baal — there are as many altars as there are streets in Jerusalem.

BNV : “যিরমিয় তোমায় বলেছি যিহূদার লোকদের জন্য প্রার্থনা কোরো না| তাদের জন্য কিছু চেযো না| তাদের জন্য প্রার্থনা করলে আমি শুনব না| ওরা কষ্ট পাবেই| কষ্ট পেলে তখন তারা আমার সাহায্যের জন্য কাঁদবে| কিন্তু আমি তাদের কথা শুনব না|
KJV : Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear [them] in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.
YLT : And thou, thou dost not pray for this people, Nor dost thou lift up for them cry and prayer, For I do not hearken in the time of their calling unto Me for their vexation.
RV : Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

BNV : “আমার প্রেমিকা (যিহূদা) আমার উপাসনা গৃহে কেন? তার ওখানে থাকার কোন অধিকার নেই| সে অনেক পাপ কাজ করেছে| যিহূদা তুমি কি মনে কর বিশেষ প্রতিশ্রুতিসমূহ ও পশুবলিসমূহ তোমাকে ধ্বংসের হাত থেকে বাঁচাতে পারবে? তুমি কি মনে কর আমাকে নৈবেদ্য উত্সর্গ করে তুমি শাস্তির হাত থেকে রেহাই পাবে?”
KJV : What hath my beloved to do in mine house, [seeing] she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.
YLT : What -- to My beloved in My house, Her doing wickedness with many, And the holy flesh do pass over from thee? When thou dost evil, then thou exultest.
RV : What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness {cf15i with} many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.
RSV : What right has my beloved in my house, when she has done vile deeds? Can vows and sacrificial flesh avert your doom? Can you then exult?

ERVEN : "Judah is the one I love, but why is she in my temple? She has done too many evil things. Judah, do you think vows and sacrifices will keep you from being destroyed? Will I then allow you to enjoy your evil ways?"

BNV : প্রভু তোমাকে একটি নাম দিয়েছিলেন| তিনি তোমাকে ‘মনোরম এক হরিত্‌পর্ণ জিতবৃক্ষ’ বলে ডাকতেন| কিন্তু এক প্রবল ঝড়ের সাহায্যে প্রভু ঐ গাছে আগুন লাগিয়ে তার শাখাপ্রশাখা পুড়িয়ে ছাই করে দেবেন|
KJV : The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, [and] of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
YLT : `An olive, green, fair, of goodly fruit,` Hath Jehovah called thy name, At the noise of a great tumult He hath kindled fire against it, And broken have been its thin branches.
RV : The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair with goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
RSV : The LORD once called you, `A green olive tree, fair with goodly fruit'; but with the roar of a great tempest he will set fire to it, and its branches will be consumed.

ESV : The LORD once called you 'a green olive tree, beautiful with good fruit.' But with the roar of a great tempest he will set fire to it, and its branches will be consumed.
ERVEN : The Lord gave you a name. He called you, "A green olive tree, beautiful to look at." But with a powerful storm, the Lord will set that tree on fire, and its branches will be burned up.

BNV : প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান তোমাকে রোপণ করেছিলেন এবং তিনি বলেছিলেন য়ে বিপর্য়য তোমার কাছে আসবে| কারণ ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদার পরিবার অনেক ক্ষতিকর অনিষ্ট কাজ করেছে| তারা বাল মূর্ত্তির উদ্দেশ্যে বলি দিয়েছে এবং আমাকে রুদ্ধ করেছে|”
KJV : For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.
YLT : And Jehovah of Hosts, who is planting thee, Hath spoken evil concerning thee, For the evil of the house of Israel, and of the house of Judah, That they have done to themselves, To provoke Me to anger, to make perfume to Baal.
RV : For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have wrought for themselves in provoking me to anger by offering incense unto Baal.

ERVEN : The Lord All-Powerful planted you, and he said that disaster will come to you. That is because the family of Israel and the family of Judah have done evil things. They offered sacrifices to Baal, and that made him angry!

BNV : প্রভু আমাকে দেখালেন অনাথোতের মানুষ কি ভাবে আমার বিরুদ্ধে চএান্ত করেছে| প্রভু আমাকে এইসব দেখালেন, যাতে আমি জানতে পারি য়ে তারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে|
KJV : And the LORD hath given me knowledge [of it,] and I know [it:] then thou shewedst me their doings.
YLT : And, O Jehovah, cause me to know, and I know, Then Thou hast showed me their doings.
RV : And the LORD gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it: then thou shewedst me their doings.
RSV : The LORD made it known to me and I knew; then thou didst show me their evil deeds.
ASV : And Jehovah gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it: then thou showedst me their doings.

ERVEN : The Lord showed me that the men of Anathoth were making plans against me. The Lord showed me what they were doing, so I knew they were against me.

BNV : আমার বিরুদ্ধে লোকদের এই ষড়য়ন্ত্রের কথা প্রভু আমাকে জানাবার আগে আমি ছিলাম একজন নিরীহ মেষশাবকের মত, জবাই এর অপেক্ষারত| আমি এই ষড়য়ন্ত্রের কথা ঘুণাক্ষরেও টের পাইনি| তারা আমার সম্বন্ধে এই কথাগুলি বলেছিল: “চলো ঐ গাছকে এবং গাছের ফলকে আমরা ধ্বংস করে দিই| চলো তাকে হত্যা করি| তাহলে মানুষ তাকে ভুলে যাবে|”
KJV : But I [was] like a lamb [or] an ox [that] is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, [saying,] Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

ERVEN : Before the Lord showed me that the people were against me, I was like a gentle lamb waiting to be butchered. I did not understand that they were against me. They were saying this about me: "Let us destroy the tree and its fruit! Let us kill him! Then people will forget him."

BNV : কিন্তু প্রভু আপনি হলেন নিরপেক্ষ বিচারক| আপনি জানেন কিভাবে মানুষের হৃদয় ও মনের পরীক্ষা নিতে হয়| আমি আপনাকে আমার যুক্তিগুলো সাজিযে দেব এবং আপনিই আমার হয়ে ওদের য়োগ্য শাস্তি দেবেন|
KJV : But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
YLT : And O Jehovah of Hosts, judging righteousness, Trying reins and heart, I do see Thy vengeance against them, For unto Thee I have revealed my cause.`

ERVEN : But, Lord, you are a fair judge. You know how to test people's hearts and minds. I will tell you my arguments, and I will let you give them the punishment they deserve.

BNV : অনাথোতের মানুষ যিরমিয়কে হত্যার পরিকল্পনা করেছিল| তারা যিরমিয়কে বলেছিল, “প্রভুর হয়ে ভাব্বাণী করলে তোমাকে আমরা হত্যা করব|” প্রভু সেই অনাথোতের লোকদের ব্যাপারে একটি সিদ্ধান্ত নিলেন|
KJV : Therefore thus saith the LORD of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the LORD, that thou die not by our hand:
YLT : Therefore, thus said Jehovah concerning the men of Anathoth, who are seeking thy life, saying: Do not prophesy in the name of Jehovah, And thou dost not die by our hands.

ERVEN : The men from Anathoth were planning to kill Jeremiah. They said to him, "Don't prophesy in the name of the Lord, or we will kill you." The Lord made a decision about the men from Anathoth.

BNV : প্রভু সর্বশক্তিমান বললেন, “আমি অনাথোতের সেই লোকগুলোকে খুব শীঘ্রই য়োগ্য শাস্তি দেব| তাদের যুবকেরা যুদ্ধে মারা যাবে| তাদের ছেলেমেযেরা খাদ্যের অভাবে মারা যাবে|
KJV : Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:
YLT : Therefore, thus said Jehovah of Hosts: `Lo, I am seeing after them, The chosen ones die by sword, Their sons and their daughters die by famine,

ERVEN : The Lord All-Powerful said, "I will soon punish these men from Anathoth. Their young men will die in war. Their sons and daughters will die from hunger.

BNV : অনাথোত শহরের কেউ বেঁচে থাকবে না| আমি তাদের শাস্তি দেব| আমিই ওদের অমঙ্গল ঘটাবো|”
KJV : And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, [even] the year of their visitation.
YLT : And they have no remnant, For I bring evil unto the men of Anathoth, The year of their inspection!`
