BNV : “তোমাদের ঠোঁটে শিঙা রাখো এবং শিঙা বাজিয়ে সতর্ক করে দাও| প্রভুর গৃহের ওপর ঈগল পাখীর মতো হও| ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা আমার চুক্তি ভঙ্গ করেছে| তারা আমার বিধি মান্য করেনি|
KJV : [Set] the trumpet to thy mouth. [He shall come] as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
YLT : `Unto thy mouth -- a trumpet, As an eagle against the house of Jehovah, Because they transgressed My covenant, And against My law they have rebelled.
RV : {cf15i SET} the trumpet to thy mouth. As an eagle {cf15i he cometh} against the house of the LORD: because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
RSV : Set the trumpet to your lips, for a vulture is over the house of the LORD, because they have broken my covenant, and transgressed my law.

ERVEN : "Put the trumpet to your lips and give the warning. Be like an eagle over the Lord's house. The Israelites have broken my agreement. They have not obeyed my law.

BNV : তারা আমার দিকে তীব্রস্বরে চিত্কার করে, ‘আমার ঈশ্বর, আমরা ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা আপনাকে জানি!’
KJV : Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.
YLT : To Me they cry, `My God, we -- Israel -- have known Thee.`
RV : They shall cry unto me, My God, we Israel know thee.

BNV : কিন্তু ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা ভালো জিনিস নিতে অস্বীকার করে; সেজন্য শএুরা তাদের পেছনে তাড়া করে|

BNV : ইস্রায়েলীয়রা তাদের রাজাদের মনোনীত করেছে; কিন্তু তারা আমার কাছে পরামর্শ নিতে আসেনি| ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা নেতাদের নির্বাচন করে; কিন্তু যাদের আমি জানি, তারা তাদের নির্বাচন করেনি| ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা নিজেদের জন্য তাদের সোনা ও রূপা দিয়ে মূর্ত্তি বানায়| সুতরাং তারা ধ্বংস হবে|
KJV : They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew [it] not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

ERVEN : The Israelites chose their kings, but they didn't come to me for advice. They chose leaders, but they didn't choose men I knew. The Israelites used their silver and gold to make idols for themselves, so they will be destroyed.

BNV : হে শমরিয়া মূর্ত্তি ঈশ্বর তোমাদের গোবত্স মূর্ত্তি গ্রহণ করতে অস্বীকার করেছেন|ঈশ্বর বলেছেন, ‘আমি ইস্রায়েলবাসীদের বিরুদ্ধে খুবই রুদ্ধ|’ ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা তাদের পাপকাজের জন্য শাস্তি পাবে| কিছু কর্মী ঐ মূর্ত্তিগুলিকে তৈরি করছে, তারা ঈশ্বর নয়| শমরিয়ার বাছুর টুকরো টুকরো করে ভেঙ্গে ফেলা হবে|
KJV : Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast [thee] off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long [will it be] ere they attain to innocency?
YLT : Cast off hath thy calf, O Samaria, Burned hath Mine anger against them, Till when are they not capable of purity?
RV : He hath cast off thy calf, O Samaria; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
RSV : I have spurned your calf, O Samaria. My anger burns against them. How long will it be till they are pure

ERVEN : The Lord has refused your calf, Samaria. God says, 'I am very angry with the Israelites.' The people of Israel will be punished for their sin. Some worker made those statues. They are not God. Samaria's calf will be broken into pieces.

KJV : For from Israel [was] it also: the workman made it; therefore it [is] not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
YLT : For even it [is] of Israel; an artificer made it, And it [is] not God, For the calf of Samaria is fragments!

BNV : ইস্রায়েলীয়রা নির্বোধের মত একটা কাজ করেছিল এবং সেটা ছিল য়েন বাতাস রোপণ করবার চেষ্টার মত| তারা কেবল কষ্ট পাবে| তারা কেবল মাত্র সাইক্লোনের মত শস্য পাবে| মাঠে শস্য বাড়বে; কিন্তু সে শস্য কোন খাদ্য দেবে না| এমনকি যদি কিছু জন্মায়, তবে অপরিচিতরাই তা খেযে নেবে|
KJV : For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
YLT : For wind they sow, and a hurricane they reap, Stalk it hath none -- a shoot not yielding grain, If so be it yield -- strangers do swallow it up.

ERVEN : The Israelites did a foolish thing— it was like trying to plant the wind. But they will get only troubles—they will harvest a whirlwind. The grain in the fields will grow, but it will give no food. Even if it grew something, strangers would eat it.

BNV : ইস্রায়েল ধ্বংস হয়েছিল| ইস্রায়েলীয়রা জাতির মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে য়েন কোন খাবার য়েটা কারো ভাল লাগেনি বলে ফেলে দেওয়া হয়েছে|
KJV : Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein [is] no pleasure.
YLT : Israel hath been swallowed up, Now they have been among nations, As a vessel in which is no delight.

BNV : ইফ্রয়িম তাকে তোষামোদ করেছিল| বন্য গাধার মত সে ঘুরতে ঘুরতে অশূরীয়তে গিয়ে পৌঁছেছিল|
KJV : For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
YLT : For they -- they have gone up [to] Asshur, A wild ass alone by himself [is] Ephraim, They have hired lovers!
RV : For they are gone up to Assyria, {cf15i like} a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
RSV : For they have gone up to Assyria, a wild ass wandering alone; Ephraim has hired lovers.

BNV : ইস্রায়েলীয়রা জাতিগণের মধ্যে তাদের ‘প্রেমিকদের’ কাছে গিয়েছিল| কিন্তু আমি ইস্রায়েল জাতিদের একত্রিত করব| কিন্তু তাদের সেই প্রবল ক্ষমতাবান রাজার থেকে তাদের কিছুটা কষ্ট ভোগ করতেই হবে|
KJV : Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
YLT : Also though they hire among nations, Now I gather them, and they are pained a little, From the burden of a king of princes.
RV : Yea, though they hire among the nations, now will I gather them; and they begin to be minished by reason of the burden of the king of princes.
RSV : Though they hire allies among the nations, I will soon gather them up. And they shall cease for a little while from anointing king and princes.
ASV : Yea, though they hire among the nations, now will I gather them; and they begin to be diminished by reason of the burden of the king of princes.
ESV : Though they hire allies among the nations, I will soon gather them up. And the king and princes shall soon writhe because of the tribute.
ERVEN : Yes, Israel was taken to the nations, but I will bring them back. But first, they must suffer a little by carrying the burden of that mighty king.

BNV : ইফ্রয়িম অনেক বেশী করে পূজো বেদী তৈরি করেছে এবং সেটা তৈরি করাটা পাপ হয়েছে| সেই পূজো বেদীগুলো ইফ্রয়িমের পাপের পূজো বেদী|
KJV : Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.

BNV : এমনকি যদি আমি ইফ্রয়িমের জন্য 10,000 বিধিও রচনা করি তবু সেগুলোর দিকে সে এমন চোখে দেখবে য়েন সেগুলো কোন অপরিচিতদের জন্য রচিত হয়েছে|
KJV : I have written to him the great things of my law, [but] they were counted as a strange thing.
YLT : I write for him numerous things of My law, As a strange thing they have been reckoned.
RV : Though I write for him my law in ten thousand {cf15i precepts}, they are counted as a strange thing.
RSV : Were I to write for him my laws by ten thousands, they would be regarded as a strange thing.
ASV : I wrote for him the ten thousand things of my law; but they are counted as a strange thing.

BNV : ইস্রায়েলবাসীরা বলি উত্সর্গ করতে ভালবাসে| তারা মাংস উত্সর্গ করে এবং তা খায়| প্রভু তাদের উত্সর্গ গ্রহণ করেন না| তিনি তাদের পাপগুলো মনে রাখেন এবং তিনি তাদের শাস্তি দেবেন| বন্দী হিসেবে তাদের মিশরে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে|
KJV : They sacrifice flesh [for] the sacrifices of mine offerings, and [eat it;] but the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
YLT : The sacrifices of Mine offerings! They sacrifice flesh, and they eat, Jehovah hath not accepted them, Now doth He remember their iniquity, And inspect their sin, They -- [to] Egypt they turn back.
RV : As for the sacrifices of mine offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; but the LORD accepteth them not: now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins; they shall return to Egypt.

ERVEN : The Israelites love sacrifices. They offer the meat and eat it. The Lord does not accept their sacrifices. He remembers their sins, and he will punish them. They will be carried away as prisoners to Egypt.

BNV : ইস্রায়েল রাজাদের প্রাসাদ তৈরি করে; কিন্তু তারা তাদের নিজেদের নির্মাতাকে ভুলে গেছে! এখন যিহূদা দুর্গ তৈরি করছে; কিন্তু আমি যিহূদার শহরগুলোর জন্যে আগুন পাঠাব; এবং সেই আগুন তার দুর্গগুলো ধ্বংস করে দেবে!”
KJV : For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
YLT : And forget doth Israel his Maker, and buildeth temples, And Judah hath multiplied cities of defence, And I have sent a fire into his cities, And it hath consumed their palaces!

ERVEN : Israel has built palaces for their kings, and now Judah builds fortresses. But they have forgotten their Maker! So I will send fire to destroy their cities and fortresses!"
