BNV : ইফ্রয়িম তার সময় নষ্ট করছে- ইস্রায়েল সারাদিন ধরে “হাওযার পেছনে ছুটছে|” জনসাধারণ আরো বেশী করে মিথ্যা বলছে| তারা আরো বেশী চুরি করছে| তারা অশূরের সঙ্গে চুক্তি করেছে, এবং তাদের জলপাই তেল মিশরে বহন করে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে|
KJV : Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
YLT : Ephraim is enjoying wind, And is pursuing an east wind, All the day lying and spoiling he multiplieth, And a covenant with Asshur they make, And oil to Egypt is carried.

ERVEN : Ephraim is wasting its time; Israel "chases the wind" all day long. The people tell more and more lies and steal more and more. They have made agreements with Assyria, and they are carrying their olive oil to Egypt.

BNV : প্রভু বলেছেন, “ইস্রায়েলের বিরুদ্ধে আমার বলবার বিষয় আছে| যাকোব তার কাজের জন্যে অবশ্যই শাস্তি পাবে| য়ে সব খারাপ কাজ সে করেছে তার জন্য সে অবশ্যই শাস্তি পাবে|
KJV : The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
YLT : And a controversy hath Jehovah with Judah, To lay a charge on Jacob according to his ways, According to his doings He returneth to him.

BNV : এমন কি যাকোব যখন তার মাযের গর্ভে ছিল, তখন থেকেই সে তার ভাইদের বিরুদ্ধে চএান্ত করতে শুরু করে দিয়েছিল| যাকোব একজন শক্তিশালী যুবক ছিল; এবং সেই সময় সে ঈশ্বরের সঙ্গে লড়াই করেছিল|
KJV : He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:

BNV : সে ঈশ্বরের দূতের সঙ্গে লড়াই করেছিল এবং জিতেছিল| সে কেঁদে অনুগ্রহ চেয়েছিল| বৈথেলে এই ঘটনা ঘটে| সেখানে, সে আমাদের সঙ্গে কথা বলেছিল|
KJV : Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him [in] Bethel, and there he spake with us;

BNV : হ্যাঁ, সৈন্যবাহিনীর ঈশ্বর হচ্ছেন যিহোবা| তাঁর নাম যিহোবা (প্রভু)|
KJV : Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD [is] his memorial.

BNV : সেজন্য তোমরা তোমাদের ঈশ্বরের কাছে ফিরে এসো| তাঁর বশবর্তী হও, সঠিক কাজ কর! সব সময় তোমার ঈশ্বরকে বিশ্বাস কর!
KJV : Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.

BNV : “যাকোব একজন পাকা ব্যবসায়ী লোক| সে তার বন্ধুদেরও প্রতারণা করে! এমনকি তার দাঁড়িপাল্লাও ঠিক নেই|
KJV : [He is] a merchant, the balances of deceit [are] in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
YLT : Canaan! in his hand [are] balances of deceit! To oppress he hath loved.

BNV : ইফ্রয়িম বলেছিল, ‘আমি একজন ধনী! আমি প্রকৃত ধন খুঁজে পেয়েছি! কোনো ব্যক্তি আমার অপরাধ সম্পর্কে জানতে পারবে না| কোনও ব্যক্তিই আমার পাপের সম্বন্ধে জানতে পারবে না|’
KJV : And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: [in] all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that [were] sin.
YLT : And Ephraim saith: `Surely I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself, All my labours -- they find not against me iniquity that [is] sin.`

BNV : “কিন্তু মিশরের ভূমিতে তোমরা যতদিন ছিলে ততদিন আমিই তোমাদের প্রভু, ঈশ্বর ছিলাম| ঈশ্বর সমাগম তাঁবুতে থাকার সময়ের মতো আমি তোমাদের তাঁবুতে বাস করবার ব্যবস্থা করব|
KJV : And I [that am] the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
YLT : And I -- Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt, Again do I turn thee back into tents, As in the days of the appointed time.

KJV : I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
YLT : And I have spoken unto the prophets, And I have multiplied vision, And by the hand of the prophets I use similes.

BNV : কিন্তু গিলিয়দবাসীরা পাপী| সেখানে অনেকগুলো ভয়ঙ্কর মূর্ত্তি আছে| গিল্গলের লোকেরা ষাঁড়ের কাছে বলি উত্সর্গ করে| ওই লোকেদের বহু পূজোর বেদী আছে| চষা জমিতে আবর্জনার সারির মত সেখানে বেদীর সারি তৈরী হয়েছে|
KJV : [Is there] iniquity [in] Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars [are] as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
YLT : Surely Gilead [is] iniquity, Only, vanity they have been, In Gilead bullocks they have sacrificed, Also their altars [are] as heaps, on the furrows of a field.
RV : Is Gilead iniquity? they are altogether vanity; in Gilgal they sacrifice bullocks: yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the field.

ERVEN : But the people in Gilead have sinned. There are many disgusting idols in that place. They offer sacrifices to bulls at Gilgal. They have many altars. There are rows and rows of altars—like the rows of dirt in a plowed field.

BNV : যাকোব অরামের দেশে পালিয়ে গিয়েছিল| সেই জায়গায় ইস্রায়েল স্ত্রী পাবার জন্যে কাজ করেছিল| আরেকটি স্ত্রী পাবার জন্য সে মেষগুলির দেখাশোনা কর়েছিল|
KJV : And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept [sheep. ]

BNV : কিন্তু ইফ্রয়িম প্রভুকে অত্যন্ত রুদ্ধ করে তুলল| ইফ্রয়িম বহু লোককে হত্যা করেছিল সেজন্য সে তার অপরাধের শাস্তি পাবে| তার গুরু (প্রভু) তাকে তার অবমাননা সহ্য করতে বাধ্য করবেন|”
KJV : Ephraim provoked [him] to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
YLT : Ephraim hath provoked most bitterly, And his blood on himself he leaveth, And his reproach turn back to him doth his Lord!
