BNV : ঈশ্বর যাকোবকে বললেন, “বৈথেল শহরে যাও| সেখানে বাস কর আর উপাসনার জন্য একটা বেদী তৈরী কর| স্মরণ কর এলকে| তুমি যখন তোমার ভাই এষৌর কাছ থেকে পালিয়ে যাচ্ছিলে তখন সেখানে এই ঈশ্বরই তোমায় দর্শন দিয়েছিলেন|”
KJV : And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
YLT : And God saith unto Jacob, `Rise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there, and make there an altar to God, who appeared unto thee in thy fleeing from the face of Esau thy brother.`
RV : And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth-el, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, who appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

ERVEN : God said to Jacob, "Go to the town of Bethel. That is where I appeared to you when you were running away from your brother Esau. Live there and make an altar to honor me as El, the God who appeared to you."

BNV : তাই যাকোব তার পরিবার ও তার সমস্ত দাসকে বলল, “তোমাদের কাছে কাঠ ও ধাতুর য়ে সমস্ত পুতুল ঠাকুর রয়েছে তার সমস্তই ধ্বংস কর| নিজেদের পবিত্র কর এবং পরিষ্কার কাপড় পর|
KJV : Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that [were] with him, Put away the strange gods that [are] among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

BNV : আমরা এই জায়গা ছেড়ে বৈথেলে যাব| সেখানেই আমি আমার ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যে একটি বেদী তৈরী করব, এই ঈশ্বরই সঙ্কটের সময় আমায় সাহায্য করেছিলেন| আমি যেখানেই গিয়েছি সেখানেই এই ঈশ্বর আমার সঙ্গে গিয়েছেন|”
KJV : And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

BNV : সেইজন্য লোকরা বিদেশের সমস্ত ঠাকুরগুলোকে যাকোবের কাছে এনে দিল| তারা যাকোবকে তাদের কানের দুলগুলি এনে দিল| যাকোব এসব কিছু শিখিম শহরের কাছে একটা এলা গাছের তলায় পুঁতে রাখল|
KJV : And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which [were] in their hand, and [all their] earrings which [were] in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which [was] by Shechem.

BNV : যাকোব আর তার পুত্ররা সেই জায়গা পরিত্যাগ করল| সেই স্থানের লোকরা তাদের তাড়া করে হত্যা করতে চেযেছিল| কিন্তু তারা ভীষণ ভয় পেয়ে যাকোবকে আর অনুসরণ করল না|
KJV : And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that [were] round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.

ERVEN : Then Jacob and his sons left that place. The people in the surrounding cities wanted to follow and kill them, but God filled them with such great fear that they did not go after them.

BNV : এরপর যাকোব আর তার লোকরা লুসে গেল| লুসের বর্তমান নাম বৈথেল| এটি কনান দেশে অবস্থিত|
KJV : So Jacob came to Luz, which [is] in the land of Canaan, that [is,] Bethel, he and all the people that [were] with him.

BNV : যাকোব সেই জায়গায় একটি বেদী তৈরী করে তার নাম রাখল “এল্ বৈথেল|” যাকোব এই নাম বেছে নিল কারণ ভাইয়ের কাছ থেকে পালিয়ে যাবার সময় এইখানে ঈশ্বর তাঁর সামনে আবির্ভূত হয়েছিলেন|
KJV : And he built there an altar, and called the place El-beth-el: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
YLT : and he buildeth there an altar, and proclaimeth at the place the God of Bethel: for there had God been revealed unto him, in his fleeing from the face of his brother.

ERVEN : Jacob built an altar there. He named the place "El Bethel." Jacob chose this name because that is the place where God first appeared to him when he was running from his brother.

BNV : রিবিকার ভাই দবোরার সেইখানেই মৃত্যু হল| তারা তাকে বৈথেলে একটা অলোন গাছের নীচে কবর দিল এবং সেই জায়গার নাম রাখল অলোন্ বাষুত্‌|
KJV : But Deborah Rebekah’s nurse died, and she was buried beneath Bethel under an oak: and the name of it was called Allon-bachuth.
YLT : And Deborah, Rebekah`s nurse, dieth, and she is buried at the lower part of Bethel, under the oak, and he calleth its name `Oak of weeping.`

BNV : পদ্দন্-অরাম থেকে যাকোব যখন ফিরে এল ঈশ্বর তাঁকে আবার দর্শন দিলেন এবং তাকে আশীর্বাদ করলেন|
KJV : And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padan-aram, and blessed him.

BNV : ঈশ্বর যাকোবকে বললেন, “তোমার নাম যাকোব কিন্তু আমি তোমার অন্য নাম রাখব| এখন থেকে তোমাকে যাকোব বলে ডাকা হবে না, তোমার নাম হবে ইস্রায়েল|” তাই ঈশ্বর তার নাম রাখলেন ইস্রায়েল|
KJV : And God said unto him, Thy name [is] Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.
YLT : and God saith to him, `Thy name [is] Jacob: thy name is no more called Jacob, but Israel is thy name;` and He calleth his name Israel.

BNV : ঈশ্বর তাকে বললেন, “আমিই সর্বশক্তিমান ঈশ্বর এবং আমি তোমায় এই আশীর্বাদ করছি| তোমার অনেক সন্তান-সন্ততি হোক, এক মহাজাতি হয়ে বেড়ে ওঠো| তোমার থেকেই অন্য অনেক জাতি এবং রাজারা উত্পন্ন হবে|
KJV : And God said unto him, I [am] God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
YLT : And God saith to him, `I [am] God Almighty; be fruitful and multiply, a nation and an assembly of nations is from thee, and kings from thy loins go out;

BNV : আমি অব্রাহাম ও ইসহাককে য়ে দেশ দিয়েছিলাম সেই দেশই এখন তোমায় দিচ্ছি| তোমার পরে তোমার বংশধরদের আমি সেই দেশ দিচ্ছি|”
KJV : And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.
YLT : and the land which I have given to Abraham and to Isaac -- to thee I give it, yea to thy seed after thee I give the land.`

BNV : এরপর ঈশ্বর সেই জায়গা থেকে চলে গেলেন|

BNV : এই স্থানে যাকোব একটি স্মরণস্তম্ভ স্থাপন করল| সেই পাথরের উপরে দ্রাক্ষারস ও তেল ঢেলে যাকোব সেটা পবিত্র করল| এটা ছিল এক বিশেষ জায়গা কারণ এখানেই ঈশ্বর যাকোবের সঙ্গে কথা বলেছিলেন| এবং যাকোব এই জায়গার নাম রাখল বৈথেল|

ERVEN : Jacob set up a memorial stone there. He made the rock holy by pouring wine and oil on it. This was a special place because God spoke to Jacob there, and Jacob named the place Bethel.

BNV : কিন্তু এইবার প্রসবকালে রাহেলের ভীষণ কষ্ট হল, প্রসব বেদনা তীব্র হয়ে উঠল| রাহেলের ধাত্রী এই দেখে বললেন, “ভয় পেও না রাহেল! তুমি আরেকটি পুত্রের জন্ম দিতে চলেছ|”
KJV : And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
YLT : and it cometh to pass, in her being sharply pained in her bearing, that the midwife saith to her, `Fear not, for this also [is] a son for thee.`
RV : And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; for now thou shalt have another son.

ERVEN : She was having a lot of trouble with this birth. She was in great pain. When her nurse saw this, she said, "Don't be afraid, Rachel. You are giving birth to another son."

BNV : রাহেল পুত্রটি প্রসব করার সময়ই মারা গেল| মারা যাবার আগে রাহেল পুত্রটির নাম রাখল বিনোনী| কিন্তু যাকোব তার নাম রাখল বিন্যামীন|
KJV : And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin.
YLT : And it cometh to pass in the going out of her soul (for she died), that she calleth his name Ben-Oni; and his father called him Benjamin;

BNV : রাহেলকে ইফ্রাথ যাবার পথেই কবর দেওয়া হল| (ইফ্রাথই বৈত্‌লেহম|)
KJV : And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which [is] Bethlehem.
YLT : and Rachel dieth, and is buried in the way to Ephratha, which [is] Bethlehem,

BNV : রাহেলকে সম্মান জানাতে যাকোব তার কবরে একটি স্তম্ভ স্থাপন করল| সেই বিশেষ স্তম্ভটি আজও সেখানে রয়েছে|
KJV : And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that [is] the pillar of Rachel’s grave unto this day.
YLT : and Jacob setteth up a standing pillar over her grave; which [is] the standing pillar of Rachel`s grave unto this day.
RV : And Jacob set up a pillar upon her grave: the same is the Pillar of Rachel-s grave unto this day.

ERVEN : Jacob put a special rock on Rachel's grave to honor her. That special rock is still there today.

BNV : এরপর ইস্রায়েল আবার তার যাত্রা পথে চললেন| তিনি মিগ্দল এদর দক্ষিণে তাঁর তাঁবু খাটালেন|

BNV : ইস্রায়েল এই স্থানে অল্পকাল রইলেন| এই স্থানেই রূবেণ তার পিতার দাসী বিল্হার কাছে গেল এবং তার সাথে শয়ন করল| ইস্রায়েল এই খবর জানতে পেরে অত্যন্ত ক্রুদ্ধ হলেন|যাকোবের 12 টি পুত্র ছিল|
KJV : And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine: and Israel heard [it.] Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:

BNV : যাকোব এবং লেয়ার পুত্ররা হল: যাকোবের প্রথম জাত পুত্র রূবেণ, শিমিয়োন, লেবি, যিহূদা, ইষাখর ও সবূলূন|
KJV : The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun:
