BNV : এই সমস্ত কিছুর পরে ঈশ্বর ঠিক করলেন য়ে তিনি অব্রাহামের বিশ্বাস পরীক্ষা করবেন| তাই ঈশ্বর ডাকলেন, “অব্রাহাম!”এবং অব্রাহাম সাড়া দিলেন, “বলুন!”
KJV : And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, [here] I [am. ]
YLT : And it cometh to pass after these things that God hath tried Abraham, and saith unto him, `Abraham;` and he saith, `Here [am] I.`
RV : And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.
RSV : After these things God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here am I."
ASV : And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham. And he said, Here am I.
ESV : After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here am I."
ERVEN : After these things God decided to test Abraham's faith. God said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Yes!"

BNV : তখন ঈশ্বর বললেন, “তোমার একমাত্র পুত্র যাকে তুমি ভালবাস সেই ইসহাককে মোরিয়া দেশে নিয়ে যাও| সেখানে পর্বতগুলির মধ্যে একটির ওপরে তাকে আমার উদ্দেশ্যে বলি দাও| আমি তোমাকে বলব কোন পর্বতের ওপর তুমি তাকে বলি দেবে|”
KJV : And he said, Take now thy son, thine only [son] Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
YLT : And He saith, `Take, I pray thee, thy son, thine only one, whom thou hast loved, even Isaac, and go for thyself unto the land of Moriah, and cause him to ascend there for a burnt-offering on one of the mountains of which I speak unto thee.`
RV : And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
RSV : He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
ASV : And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah. And offer him there for a burnt-offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
ESV : He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
ERVEN : Then God said, "Take your son to the land of Moriah and kill your son there as a sacrifice for me. This must be Isaac, your only son, the one you love. Use him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains there. I will tell you which mountain."

BNV : পরদিন সকালে ঘুম থেকে উঠে অব্রাহাম যাত্রার জন্যে গাধার পিঠে জিন সাজালেন| সঙ্গে ইসহাককে নিলেন, আর নিলেন দুজন ভৃত্যকে| অব্রাহাম হোমের জন্য কাঠ কাটলেন| তারপর ঈশ্বর যেখানে য়েতে বলেছিলেন সেই স্থানের উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দিলেন|
KJV : And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
YLT : And Abraham riseth early in the morning, and saddleth his ass, and taketh two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and he cleaveth the wood of the burnt-offering, and riseth and goeth unto the place of which God hath spoken to him.

ERVEN : In the morning Abraham got up and saddled his donkey. He took Isaac and two servants with him. He cut the wood for the sacrifice. Then they went to the place where God told them to go.

BNV : তিনদিন চলার পর অব্রাহাম দূরে দৃষ্টিপাত করলেন আর গন্তব্যস্থল দেখতে পেলেন|
KJV : Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
YLT : On the third day -- Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and seeth the place from afar;
RV : On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
RSV : On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place afar off.

BNV : তখন ভৃত্য দুজনের উদ্দেশ্যে অব্রাহাম বললেন, “গাধাটা নিয়ে তোমরা এখানে অপেক্ষা করো, আমি ছেলেকে নিয়ে নির্দিষ্ট স্থানটিতে যাব এবং উপাসনা করব| পরে তোমাদের কাছে ফিরে আসব|”
KJV : And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you,
YLT : and Abraham saith unto his young men, `Remain by yourselves here with the ass, and I and the youth go yonder and worship, and turn back unto you.`
RV : And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass, and I and the lad will go yonder; and we will worship, and come again to you.

BNV : অব্রাহাম হোমের জন্যে কেটে আনা কাঠ ছেলের কাঁধে দিলেন| এবং সঙ্গে নিলেন খাঁড়া ও আগুন| তারপর অব্রাহাম ও তাঁর ছেলে দুজনেই উপাসনা সম্পাদন করার জন্যে নির্দিষ্ট স্থানটিতে গেলেন|
KJV : And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid [it] upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
YLT : And Abraham taketh the wood of the burnt-offering, and placeth on Isaac his son, and he taketh in his hand the fire, and the knife; and they go on both of them together.

BNV : ইসহাক পিতা অব্রাহামকে বলল, “পিতা!”অব্রাহাম উত্তর দিলেন, “বলো, পুত্র!”ইসহাক বলল, “পিতা! হোমের জন্যে সব আয়োজন দেখতে পাচ্ছি, কিন্তু হোমের আগে বলি দেওয়ার জন্যে মেষশাবক কোথায়?”
KJV : And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here [am] I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where [is] the lamb for a burnt offering?
YLT : And Isaac speaketh unto Abraham his father, and saith, `My father,` and he saith, `Here [am] I, my son.` And he saith, `Lo, the fire and the wood, and where the lamb for a burnt-offering?`

ERVEN : Isaac said to his father Abraham, "Father!" Abraham answered, "Yes, son?" Isaac said, "I see the wood and the fire. But where is the lamb we will burn as a sacrifice?"

BNV : অব্রাহাম বললেন, “আমার পুত্র, বয়ং ঈশ্বর বলির জন্যে মেষশাবকের ব্যবস্থা করবেন|”সুতরাং অব্রাহাম আর ইসহাক দুজনে মিলে নির্দিষ্ট স্থানটিতে গেলেন|
KJV : And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
YLT : and Abraham saith, `God doth provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt-offering, my son;` and they go on both of them together.

ERVEN : Abraham answered, "God himself is providing the lamb for the sacrifice, my son." So both Abraham and his son went together to that place.

BNV : তাঁরা সেই স্থানটিতে পৌঁছলেন যেখানে ঈশ্বর য়েতে বলেছিলেন| সেখানে অব্রাহাম একটি বেদী তৈরী করলেন| বেদীর উপরে অব্রাহাম কাঠগুলো সাজালেন| তারপর অব্রাহাম তাঁর পুত্র ইসহাককে বাঁধলেন এবং বেদীর উপরে সাজানো কাঠগুলোর উপর তাকে শোয়ালেন|
KJV : And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
YLT : And they come in unto the place of which God hath spoken to him, and there Abraham buildeth the altar, and arrangeth the wood, and bindeth Isaac his son, and placeth him upon the altar above the wood;

BNV : এবার অব্রাহাম খাঁড়া বের করে ইসহাককে বলি দেওয়ার জন্যে তৈরী হলেন|
KJV : And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
YLT : and Abraham putteth forth his hand, and taketh the knife -- to slaughter his son.
RV : And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

BNV : কিন্তু তখন প্রভুর দূত অব্রাহামকে বাধা দিলেন| সেই দূত স্বর্গ থেকে “অব্রাহাম, অব্রাহাম” বলে ডাকলেন|অব্রাহাম থেমে গিয়ে সাড়া দিলেন, “বলুন|”
KJV : And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.
YLT : And the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto him from the heavens, and saith, `Abraham, Abraham;` and he saith, `Here [am] I;`
RV : And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
RSV : But the angel of the LORD called to him from heaven, and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" And he said, "Here am I."

ERVEN : But the Angel of the Lord stopped him. The angel called from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" Abraham answered, "Yes?"

BNV : দূত বললেন, “তোমার পুত্রকে হত্যা কোরো না, তাকে কোন রকম আঘাত দিও না| এখন আমি দেখতে পাচ্ছি, তুমি ঈশ্বরকে ভক্তি করো এবং তাঁর আজ্ঞা পালন করো| প্রভুর জন্যে তুমি তোমার একমাত্র পুত্রকে পর্য্ন্ত বলি দিতে প্রস্তুত|”
KJV : And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son] from me.
YLT : and He saith, `Put not forth thine hand unto the youth, nor do anything to him, for now I have known that thou art fearing God, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one, from Me.`
RV : And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me.
RSV : He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me."
ASV : And he said, Lay not thy hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him. For now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son, from me.
ESV : He said, "Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me."
ERVEN : The angel said, "Don't kill your son or hurt him in any way. Now I can see that you do respect and obey God. I see that you are ready to kill your son, your only son, for me."

BNV : তখন অব্রাহাম একটা মেষ দেখতে পেলেন| একটা ঝোপে তার শিং আটকে গেছে| সুতরাং অব্রাহাম সেই মেষটা ধরে এনে বলি দিলেন| ঐ মেষটাই হল ঈশ্বরের জন্যে অব্রাহামের বলি| আর রক্ষা পেল অব্রাহামের পুত্র ইসহাক|
KJV : And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind [him] a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
YLT : And Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, a ram behind, seized in a thicket by its horns; and Abraham goeth, and taketh the ram, and causeth it to ascend for a burnt-offering instead of his son;

ERVEN : Then Abraham noticed a ram whose horns were caught in a bush. So Abraham went and took the ram. He offered it, instead of his son, as a sacrifice to God.

BNV : সুতরাং অব্রাহাম ঐ স্থানটির একটা নাম দিলেন, “যিহোবা-য়িরি|”এমন কি আজও লোকেরা বলে, “এই পর্বতে প্রভুকে দেখা যায়|”
KJV : And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said [to] this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
YLT : and Abraham calleth the name of that place `Jehovah-Jireh,` because it is said this day in the mount, `Jehovah doth provide.`
RV : And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be provided.
RSV : So Abraham called the name of that place The LORD will provide; as it is said to this day, "On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided."
ASV : And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh. As it is said to this day, In the mount of Jehovah it shall be provided.
ESV : So Abraham called the name of that place, "The LORD will provide"; as it is said to this day, "On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided."
ERVEN : So Abraham gave that place a name, "Yahweh Yireh." Even today people say, "On this mountain the Lord can be seen."

BNV : স্বর্গ থেকে প্রভুর দূত দ্বিতীয়বার অব্রাহামকে ডেকে বললেন,
KJV : And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time,
YLT : And the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto Abraham a second time from the heavens,
RV : And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham a second time out of heaven,
RSV : And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven,
ASV : And the angel of Jehovah called unto Abraham a second time out of heaven,
ESV : And the angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven
ERVEN : The Angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time.

BNV : “আমার জন্যে তুমি তোমার একমাত্র পুত্রকেও বলি দিতে প্রস্তুত ছিলে| আমার জন্যে তুমি এত বড় কাজ করেছ বলে আমি তোমার কাছে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিচ্ছি; আমি, প্রভু নিজেরই দিব্য করে প্রতিশ্রুতি করছি য়ে,
KJV : And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son: ]
YLT : and saith, `By Myself I have sworn -- the affirmation of Jehovah -- that because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one --
RV : and said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
RSV : and said, "By myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son,
ASV : and said, By myself have I sworn, saith Jehovah, because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son,
ESV : and said, "By myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,
ERVEN : The angel said, "You were ready to kill your only son for me. Since you did this for me, I make you this promise: I, the Lord, promise that

BNV : আমি তোমাকে অবশ্য আশীর্বাদ করব| আকাশে যত তারা, আমি তোমার উত্তরপুরুষদেরও সংখ্যাও তত করব| সমুদ্রতীরে যত বালি, তোমার উত্তরপুরুষরাও তত হবে| এবং তোমার বংশ তাদের সমস্ত শত্রুদের পরাস্ত করবে|
KJV : That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
YLT : that blessing I bless thee, and multiplying I multiply thy seed as stars of the heavens, and as sand which [is] on the sea-shore; and thy seed doth possess the gate of his enemies;
RV : that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
RSV : I will indeed bless you, and I will multiply your descendants as the stars of heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore. And your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies,
ASV : that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is upon the seashore. And thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.
ESV : I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies,
ERVEN : I will surely bless you and give you as many descendants as the stars in the sky. There will be as many people as sand on the seashore. And your people will live in cities that they will take from their enemies.

BNV : পৃথিবীর প্রত্যেক জাতি তোমার উত্তরপুরুষদের মাধ্যমে আশীর্বাদ পাবে| তুমি আমার আজ্ঞা পালন করেছ বলে তোমার উত্তরপুরুষদের জন্যে আমি একাজ করব|”
KJV : And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
YLT : and blessed themselves in thy seed have all nations of the earth, because that thou hast hearkened to My voice.`
RV : and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
RSV : and by your descendants shall all the nations of the earth bless themselves, because you have obeyed my voice."
ASV : And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. Because thou hast obeyed my voice.
ESV : and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice."
ERVEN : Every nation on the earth will be blessed through your descendants. I will do this because you obeyed me."

BNV : তখন অব্রাহাম তাঁর ভৃত্যদের কাছে ফিরে গেলেন| তাঁরা সকলে বের্-শেবাতে ফিরে এলেন এবং অব্রাহাম বের্-শেবাতেই থেকে গেলেন|
KJV : So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beer-sheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beer-sheba.
YLT : And Abraham turneth back unto his young men, and they rise and go together unto Beer-Sheba; and Abraham dwelleth in Beer-Sheba.

BNV : এইসব ঘটনার পরে অব্রাহামের কাছে এই খবর এল, “শোনো, তোমার ভাই নাহোর এবং তার স্ত্রী মিল্কারও এখন সন্তানাদি হয়েছে;
KJV : And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also born children unto thy brother Nahor;
YLT : And it cometh to pass after these things that it is declared to Abraham, saying, `Lo, Milcah hath borne, even she, sons to Nahor thy brother:
RV : And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she also hath borne children unto thy brother Nahor;

KJV : And Bethuel begat Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor, Abraham’s brother.
