BNV : সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলীয়রা একসঙ্গে সীন মরুভূমি থেকে তাদের যাত্রা শুরু করল| প্রভু য়েমনভাবে তাদের নেতৃত্ব দিলেন তারা সেইভাবে এক জায়গা থেকে আর এক জায়গায় য়েতে শুরু করল| ঘুরতে ঘুরতে তারা রফীদীমে গিয়ে শিবির স্থাপন করল| সেখানে কোনও পানীয় জল ছিল না|
KJV : And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and [there was] no water for the people to drink.
YLT : And all the company of the sons of Israel journey from the wilderness of Sin, on their journeyings, by the command of Jehovah, and encamp in Rephidim, and there is no water for the people to drink;
RV : And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, by their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.

ESV : All the congregation of the people of Israel moved on from the wilderness of Sin by stages, according to the commandment of the LORD, and camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.
ERVEN : All the Israelites traveled together from the desert of Zin. They traveled from place to place as the Lord commanded. The people traveled to Rephidim and camped there. There was no water there for the people to drink.

BNV : তাই ঐসব লোকরা আবার মোশির সঙ্গে তর্ক শুরু করল এবং বলল, “আমাদের পানীয় জল দাও|”মোশি তাদের বলল, “তোমরা কেন আমার বিরোধিতা করছো? কেনই বা তোমরা প্রভুকে পরীক্ষা করছো?”
KJV : Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
YLT : and the people strive with Moses, and say, `Give us water, and we drink.` And Moses saith to them, `What? -- ye strive with me, what? -- ye try Jehovah?`
RV : Wherefore the people strove with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why strive ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?
RSV : Therefore the people found fault with Moses, and said, "Give us water to drink." And Moses said to them, "Why do you find fault with me? Why do you put the LORD to the proof?"
ASV : Wherefore the people stove with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why strive ye with me? Wherefore do ye tempt Jehovah?
ESV : Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said, "Give us water to drink." And Moses said to them, "Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the LORD?"
ERVEN : So they turned against Moses and started arguing with him. They said, "Give us water to drink." Moses said to them, "Why have you turned against me? Why are you testing the Lord?"

BNV : কিন্তু লোকরা তখন প্রচণ্ড তৃষ্ণার্ত ছিল| তাই তারা পুনরায় মোশির কাছে নালিশ জানাতে শুরু করল| তারা বলল, “কেন তুমি আমাদের মিশর থেকে বের করে আনলে? তুমি কি আমাদের, আমাদের সন্তানদের এবং গবাদি পশুদের পানীয় জলের অভাবে মারার জন্য মিশর থেকে বের করে নিয়ে এসেছো?”
KJV : And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore [is] this [that] thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
YLT : and the people thirst there for water, and the people murmur against Moses, and say, `Why [is] this? -- thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to put us to death, also our sons and our cattle, with thirst.`
RV : And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore hast thou brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
RSV : But the people thirsted there for water, and the people murmured against Moses, and said, "Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?"
ASV : And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore hast thou brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?
ESV : But the people thirsted there for water, and the people grumbled against Moses and said, "Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?"
ERVEN : But the people were very thirsty, so they continued complaining to Moses. They said, "Why did you bring us out of Egypt? Did you bring us out here so that we, our children, and our cattle will all die without water?"

BNV : তারপর মোশি প্রভুর কাছে কেঁদে পড়ল এবং বলল, “আমি এদের নিয়ে কি করি? যদি এখুনি কিছু না করা যায তাহলে এরা তো সত্যি সত্যি আমাকে পাথর দিয়ে মেরে ফেলবে|”
KJV : And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
YLT : And Moses crieth to Jehovah, saying, `What do I to this people? yet a little, and they have stoned me.`
RV : And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.
RSV : So Moses cried to the LORD, "What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me."
ASV : And Moses cried unto Jehovah, saying, What shall I do unto this people? They are almost ready to stone me.
ESV : So Moses cried to the LORD, "What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me."
ERVEN : So Moses cried to the Lord, "What can I do with these people? They are ready to kill me."

BNV : প্রভু মোশিকে বললেন, “কিছু প্রবীণ নেতাদের নিয়ে ইস্রায়েলের লোকের সামনে গিয়ে দাঁড়াও| সঙ্গে তোমার পথ চলার লাঠিকেও নেবে য়ে লাঠি দিয়ে তুমি নীল নদে আঘাত করেছিলে|
KJV : And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.
YLT : And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Pass over before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel, and thy rod with which thou hast smitten the River take in thy hand, and thou hast gone:
RV : And the LORD said unto Moses, Pass on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.
RSV : And the LORD said to Moses, "Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel; and take in your hand the rod with which you struck the Nile, and go.
ASV : And Jehovah said unto Moses, Pass on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and they rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thy hand, and go.
ESV : And the LORD said to Moses, "Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel, and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.
ERVEN : The Lord said to Moses, "Go before the Israelites. Take some of the elders of the people with you. Carry your walking stick with you. This is the stick that you used when you hit the Nile River.

BNV : আমি তোমার সামনে হোরেব পর্বতের (সীনয় পর্বত) ওপর দাঁড়াব| পথ চলার লাঠি দিয়ে ঐ পাথরে আঘাত করো আর তখনই দেখবে পাথর থেকে জল বেরিয়ে আসছে| ঐ জল লোকরা পান করতে পারবে|”মোশি তাই করল এবং ইস্রায়েলের প্রবীণ নেতারাও তা স্বচক্ষে দেখতে পেল|
KJV : Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
YLT : Lo, I am standing before thee there on the rock in Horeb, and thou hast smitten on the rock, and waters have come out from it, and the people have drunk.` And Moses doth so before the eyes of the elders of Israel,
RV : Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
RSV : Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, that the people may drink." And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel.
ASV : Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
ESV : Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people will drink." And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel.
ERVEN : I will stand before you on a rock at Horeb. Hit that rock with the walking stick and water will come out of it. Then the people can drink." Moses did these things and the elders of Israel saw it.

BNV : মোশি ঐ স্থানের নাম দিল মঃসা ও মরীবা, কারণ ঐ স্থানেই ইস্রায়েলের লোকরা তার বিরোধিতা এবং ঈশ্বরের পরীক্ষা নিয়েছিল| লোকজন চেযেছিল প্রভু তাদের সঙ্গে আছেন কিনা তা পরীক্ষা করে দেখতে|
KJV : And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?
YLT : and he calleth the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the `strife` of the sons of Israel, and because of their `trying` Jehovah, saying, `Is Jehovah in our midst or not?`
RV : And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the striving of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?
RSV : And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the faultfinding of the children of Israel, and because they put the LORD to the proof by saying, "Is the LORD among us or not?"
ASV : And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the striving of the children of Israel, and because they tempted Jehovah, saying, Is Jehovah among us, or not?
ESV : And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the LORD by saying, "Is the LORD among us or not?"
ERVEN : Moses named that place Meribah and Massah, because this was the place that the Israelites turned against him and tested the Lord. The people wanted to know if the Lord was with them or not.

BNV : সেই সময় অমালেক গোষ্ঠীর লোকরা এল এবং রফীদীমে ইস্রায়েলের লোকদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ বাধিয়ে দিল|
KJV : Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
YLT : And Amalek cometh, and fighteth with Israel in Rephidim,
RV : Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
RSV : Then came Amalek and fought with Israel at Rephidim.
ASV : Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
ESV : Then Amalek came and fought with Israel at Rephidim.
ERVEN : At Rephidim the Amalekites came and fought against the Israelites.

BNV : তখন মোশি যিহোশূয়কে বলল, “কিছু লোককে বেছে নিয়ে আগামীকাল থেকে অমালেকদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করো| আমি তোমাকে পথ চলার লাঠি য়েটাতে ঈশ্বরের পরাক্রম বিদ্যমান, সেইটা নিয়ে পাহাড়ের ওপর থেকে লক্ষ্য করব|”
KJV : And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
YLT : and Moses saith unto Joshua, `Choose for us men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to-morrow I am standing on the top of the hill, and the rod of God in my hand.`
RV : And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
RSV : And Moses said to Joshua, "Choose for us men, and go out, fight with Amalek; tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand."
ASV : And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to-morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.
ESV : So Moses said to Joshua, "Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand."
ERVEN : So Moses said to Joshua, "Choose some men and go and fight the Amalekites tomorrow. I will stand on the top of the hill and watch you. I will be holding the walking stick God gave me."

BNV : পরদিন যিহোশূয় মোশির আদেশ মেনে যুদ্ধ করতে গেল| একই সমযে মোশি, হারোণ এবং হূর পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় উঠল|
KJV : So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
YLT : And Joshua doth as Moses hath said to him, to fight with Amalek, and Moses, Aaron, and Hur, have gone up [to] the top of the height;
RV : So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
RSV : So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

ERVEN : Joshua obeyed Moses and went to fight the Amalekites the next day. At the same time Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top of the hill.

BNV : যতক্ষণ পর্য়ন্ত মোশি তার হাত তুলে রইল, ইস্রায়েলীয়রা যুদ্ধ জিতছিল, যখন সে তার হাত নামিয়েছিল তখন তারা হেরে যাচ্ছিল|
KJV : And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
YLT : and it hath come to pass, when Moses lifteth up his hand, that Israel hath been mighty, and when he letteth his hands rest, that Amalek hath been mighty.
RV : And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
RSV : Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed.

ERVEN : Any time Moses held his hands in the air, the men of Israel would start winning the fight. But when Moses put his hands down, the men of Israel began to lose the fight.

BNV : কিছু সময় পরে হাত তুলে থাকতে থাকতে মোশি ক্লান্ত হয়ে উঠল| তখন হারোণ ও হূর একটা বিশাল পাথরে মোশিকে বসিযে তারা উভয়ে মোশির দুদিকে গিয়ে তার হাত তুলে ধরল| সূর্য় না ডোবা পর্য়ন্ত তারা এইভাবেই মোশির হাত দুটোকে তুলে ধরে রইল|
KJV : But Moses’ hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
YLT : And the hands of Moses [are] heavy, and they take a stone, and set [it] under him, and he sitteth on it: and Aaron and Hur have taken hold on his hands, on this side one, and on that one, and his hands are stedfast till the going in of the sun;

ERVEN : After some time, Moses' arms became tired. So they put a large rock under Moses for him to sit on. Then Aaron and Hur held Moses' hands in the air. Aaron was on one side of Moses and Hur was on the other side. They held his hands up like this until the sun went down.

BNV : আর যিহোশূয় অমালেকদের যুদ্ধে পরাজিত করল|
KJV : And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
YLT : and Joshua weakeneth Amalek and his people by the mouth of the sword.
RV : And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
RSV : And Joshua mowed down Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
ASV : And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
ESV : And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword.
ERVEN : So Joshua and his men defeated the Amalekites in this battle.

BNV : তখন প্রভু মোশিকে বললেন, “এই যুদ্ধ নিয়ে একটা বই লেখ যাতে লোকরা মনে রাখে এখানে কি ঘটেছিল এবং য়িহোশূযের কাছে এটা জোরে পড়ে শোনাও যাতে সে জানতে পারে য়ে আমি অমালেকদের এই পৃথিবী থেকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে নিশ্চিহ্ন করে দেব|”
KJV : And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this [for] a memorial in a book, and rehearse [it] in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
YLT : And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Write this, a memorial in a Book, and set [it] in the ears of Joshua, that I do utterly wipe away the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens;`
RV : And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
RSV : And the LORD said to Moses, "Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven."
ASV : And Jehovah said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
ESV : Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven."
ERVEN : Then the Lord said to Moses, "Write about this battle. Write these things in a book so that people will remember what happened here. And be sure to tell Joshua that I will completely destroy the Amalekites from the earth."

BNV : এরপর মোশি একটি বেদী তৈরী করল| সেই বেদীর নাম হল “প্রভুই আমার পতাকা|”
KJV : And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi:
YLT : and Moses buildeth an altar, and calleth its name Jehovah-Nissi,
RV : And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi:
RSV : And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The LORD is my banner,
ASV : And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi;
ESV : And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The LORD is my banner,
ERVEN : Then Moses built an altar and named it, "The Lord is My Flag."

BNV : মোশি বলল, “আমি প্রভুর সিংহাসনের দিকে হাত বাড়িযে ছিলাম বলেই প্রভু অমালেকদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করেছিলেন, য়েমন তিনি সর্বদা করেন|”
KJV : For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn [that] the LORD [will have] war with Amalek from generation to generation.
YLT : and saith, `Because a hand [is] on the throne of Jah, war [is] to Jehovah with Amalek from generation -- generation.`
RV : and he said, The LORD hath sworn: the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
RSV : saying, "A hand upon the banner of the LORD! The LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation."
ASV : And he said, Jehovah hath sworn: Jehovah will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.
ESV : saying, "A hand upon the throne of the LORD! The LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation."
ERVEN : Moses said, "I lifted my hands toward the Lord's throne. So the Lord fought against the Amalekites, as he always has."
