ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸಿದವನು ಶತ್ರುವಲ್ಲ; ಶತ್ರುವಾದರೆ ತಾಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು; ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು ನನ್ನ ಹಗೆಯವನಲ್ಲ; ಹಗೆಯವನಾದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು.

For [it was] not an enemy [that] reproached me; then I could have borne [it:] neither [was it] he that hated me [that] did magnify [himself] against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
