সেই সময় থেকে যীশু তাঁর শিষ্যদের জানাতে লাগলেন য়ে তাঁকে অবশ্যইজেরুশালেমে য়েতে হবে৷ আর সেখানে কিভাবে তাঁকে ইহুদী নেতা, প্রধান যাজক ও ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকদের কাছ থেকে অনেক কষ্ট ভোগ করতে হবে৷ তাঁকে মেরে ফেলা হবে ও তিন দিনের মাথায় তিনি মৃত্যুলোক থেকে বেঁচে উঠবেন৷
