ಆತನು ಎಲೆಗಳಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಅಂಜೂರದ ಮರವನ್ನು ದೂರದಿಂದ ನೋಡಿ ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ತನಗೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾದರೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕೀತೆಂದು ಬಂದನು; ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅದರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಎಲೆಗಳನ್ನೇ ಹೊರತು ಮತ್ತೇನೂ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾಕಂ ದರೆ ಅದು ಅಂಜೂರ ಫಲದ ಕಾಲವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not [yet. ]
