ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਗਰ ਮਗਰ ਤੁਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮੋਆਬੀ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਹੱਥ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਓਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੱਥੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਦਿਆਂ ਪੱਤਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਸਨ, ਮੱਲ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਪਾਰ ਨਾ ਲੰਘਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ

And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the LORD hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.

He said to the Israelites, "Follow me! The Lord has helped us defeat our enemies, the Moabites." So the Israelites followed Ehud. They went down with him to take control of the places where people could easily cross the Jordan River into the land of Moab. The Israelites did not allow any one to go across the Jordan River.
