তাই ঐ পাঁচ জন চলে গেল| এবার এল লয়িশ শহরে| তারা দেখল শহরের লোকরা বেশ নিরাপদে রযেছে| সীদোনের লোকরা তাদের শাসন করছে| দেশে শান্তি রযেছে, তাদের কোন কিছুর অভাব নেই| কাছাকাছি কোথাও শত্রু নেই যে তাদের আক্রমণ করবে| তাছাড়া সীদোন শহর থেকে তারা অনেক দূরে রযেছে, আর অরামের লোকদের সঙ্গেও তাদের কোন চুক্তি নেই|

Then the five men departed, and came to Laish, and saw the people that [were] therein, how they dwelt careless, after the manner of the Zidonians, quiet and secure; and [there was] no magistrate in the land, that might put [them] to shame in [any] thing; and they [were] far from the Zidonians, and had no business with [any] man.

And the five men go, and come in to Laish, and see the people which [is] in its midst, dwelling confidently, according to the custom of Zidonians, quiet and confident; and there is none putting to shame in the land in [any] thing, possessing restraint, and they [are] far off from the Zidonians, and have no word with [any] man.

So the five men left. They came to the city of Laish and saw that the people of that city lived in safety. They were ruled by the people of Sidon. Everything was peaceful and quiet. The people had plenty of everything, and they didn't have any enemies nearby to hurt them. Also they lived a long way from the city of Sidon, and they did not have any agreements with the people of Aram.
