మా పితరుల దినములు మొదలుకొని నేటివరకు మేము మిక్కిలి అపరాధులము; మా దోషములనుబట్టి మేమును మా రాజు లును మా యాజకులును అన్యదేశముల రాజుల వశమున కును ఖడ్గమునకును చెరకును దోపునకును నేటిదినమున నున్నట్లు అప్పగింపబడుటచేత మిగుల సిగ్గునొందినవార మైతివిు.

Since the days of our fathers [have] we [been] in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and [our] priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as [it is] this day.
